This is a copy and paste from another forum board. Just wanted to share it here.
I come before you my children with a favor to ask. I would like you all to be like little children. Get along and share your toys. Be nice and polite to each other. Share in the joys and laughter of this world. Do not be as men, killing and arguing over each other in regards to beliefs.
Be as little children, for has it not been said that to enter the kingdom of heaven one must be like a child? A child is simple, uncluttered with ideas and beliefs. A man is full of beliefs, ideas and his life is often complex. In times such as these upon your earth, simplicity is a greater virtue then the complex.
There are many of you on earth who are avid readers of the Christian bible. You might be aware of a passage that Paul wrote, that the letter kills, but the spirit does not. I ask you my children, to please consider this saying.
The letter kills, but the spirit does not.
This is an enormously important saying that needs to be looked at more often. It is a concept that the world's belief systems need to look at. It is an idea that needs to be followed if your world seeks to find peace and tolerance.
Why is this so? Take a look at your world's history. Some of the world's greatest atrocities were caused in the name of faith, in the idea of following your beliefs. Some of the greatest terrors ever unleashed by humans upon humans were caused by those who were devout followers of their beliefs and followed those beliefs to the letter.
Simply look at the Spanish inquisition to see how dark and misguided religions can become. Look at the persecution of women who were seen to be witches throughout history. Because of one little saying, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live", thousands upon thousands of innocent women met terrible, horrible deaths.
Because of two passages in your Christian holy book, homosexuality is seen by many as an abomination, a cancer that must be wiped out at all costs, regardless of the consequences.
These two examples are proof that the letter does indeed kill. It does not need to be this way.
Religions are the single greatest obstacle to world peace on your planet. They are also the single greatest opportunity for humanity to come together in peace and harmony. But as long as people follow the letter and not the spirit, then the peace you have all searched for so desperately will not come.
You have all argued over which one of your faiths is right, about which one is correct. You hold up holy books and cite passages saying that this is the word of God or that this is the final revelation from God, or a whole number of passages and pieces that would support your claims.
Humanity has killed many in the name of faith and religion, of trying to figure out who is right and who is wrong. How many of your military leaders have said that God was with them? How many armies have marched forth being told that they had God's blessing upon them.
The desire to prove your faith to be right and true, whatever that faith is, is killing your planet, and it is killing each other.
Make no mistake my children. You need to stop bickering. You should stop arguing. You should stop killing each other. Remember the only law in my universe, the law you so commonly term the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. What you give to the universe, the universe gives back to you.
So many have not been aware of this, the only law in my kingdom. So many do not know that the universe is a mirror that sends back what it receives, whether it be hate, love, or fear. You have all been arguing, bickering and killing each other for centuries. All of your wars, all of your armed conflicts are simply the results of you trying to prove yourselves to be right, to be the chosen ones who are under God's protection.
Instead, why not try being as little children? Do you remember what you learned about kindergarden? All the lessons about the importance of sharing, of being nice, of getting along and sharing your toys? The values of kindergarden are what your temples, synagogues and churches should be preaching.
When you look over your holy books, try seeing beyond the letters. Look beneath them. Try, just for a moment, to see the deeper meaning. See the message behind each religion. Here are just a few of them.
Turn from your lower nature and turn to God
Turn from your lower nature and into your higher self
Turn from your lower natures, for what you do in life determines the next
Can you see how the beliefs of each faith can be summed up in one sentence? The message of Christianity could be summed up as "Turn to God for God is all that is Good". The message of Buddhism could be summed up as "You are responsible for what you do in life, for it determines what the next one will be like."
When your books caution you on how the rich will not enter heaven, you can see the higher spiritual message saying "Those who are rich run the risk of becoming too attached to money, rather then others and helping them. The attachment to money can keep a person from spiritually advancing." When your holy books talk about Jesus or another messiah, see the deeper spiritual message: "These beings are the pinnacle of what humanity can do, and we can follow their example on how to live."
Additionally, one can see many common threads running through all the worlds' religions. There are commonly shared beliefs in a higher power, of something that is greater then humanity yet is available to humanity to use to help the world and to become better people.
There are commonly shared beliefs that your actions have consequences, that your choices shape who you are, and that you are held accountable for them. The golden rule is present in over two hundred different forms in all your faith systems. Wiccans say that as long as what you do does not harm others, do what you will.
Look past the letters and into the meaning behind the letters. See the higher message in your faith systems. You may be surprised to see how much you all have in common. There may be differences, but that does not mean that a faith is wrong.
There are no wrong beliefs, nor are there any right beliefs. All of them are simply factors in the equation of life on earth. They are pieces of a game, a part of the experience of physical life. Even Satanism has its place in the game, though for the majority of people on earth, it is not for them.
The reason there are so many faiths, so many different systems of beliefs is because there is something out there for everyone. There are many different beliefs so that you may all learn tolerance, to acknowledge that there are others who have different belief systems then yours. The reason someone may not accept one faith is because it may not work for them and there is something out there that is more suited for their own personal growth and development.
There are those on earth who need what Christianity teaches. There are those who need what Wicca teaches. There are those who need the teachings of Confucius, Shinto, Buddhism, Judaism and all the other faiths and belief systems.
Who do you think inspired these religions? There is only one thing in all of existence. There is only one source of creativity, of thought, and ideas. I inspired your religions so that you may have many different views that you can learn to tolerate and respect. I inspired your faiths because there are spirits who wish to take a lifetime to experience and learn what it means to be a member of a specific faith.
The lesson of religious tolerance is one that humanity needs to learn if it wishes to survive in physical form. If humanity does not heed this lesson, then I must tell you that there is the possibility of conflict so great in magnitude and size that it has the capability of destroying all that you have worked so hard to build and create throughout the centuries.
If you do not learn tolerance, you will learn chaos as never before. You will all kill each other because of your faiths and beliefs. For your sake, I ask you not to do that, no matter how bad things get.
Instead, I ask you to please be like little children. Stop spending your precious time on earth arguing and killing each other and follow the golden rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Discuss your faiths and beliefs, but do not condemn nor judge, for the universal mirror will send those things back at you. Talk and discuss, condemn and judge not.
Be as little children with simple faiths. Follow the deeper messages of your holy books and beliefs. Follow the law of cause and effect by treating others the way you wish to be treated. Be kind and loving.
Why not become an ambassador for this cause? Discuss others about each of your beliefs and faiths in a polite and respectful manner. Respect others beliefs if they do not match your own. Do not judge those beliefs and do not judge the people to be lost or damned. Remember that earth is a place to experience things and learn from them. Faiths are just a factor in the equation of this game of life.
Be the example for others to follow as Jesus and the Buddha were. Be the great example of how others should discuss faiths in a polite, respectful and non-judgmental way. Doing this will gain more attention from others then being critical of others beliefs and criticizing them. Have you not heard that you will attract more bees with honey then with vinegar? Try being the honey and see how many bees you attract!
The overall purpose of religion is to help put God in you, and to help take the lower you out. It is a way to guide you through life. Everyone on this planet has their own view, their own belief system of how one should live. You may not agree with what they say or what they do, but please, do your best to tolerate and accept their view without being judgmental.
This does not mean that you should simply step aside when a person's beliefs guide them to try and forcibly convert others, or when that person's beliefs tell him to go out and kill others. For while belief systems are useful and helpful, there are human words and human beliefs in them along with the divinely inspired parts.
Some beliefs may be harmful to you or others. For some belief systems that are harmful and full of fear and hate do have a purpose: To show you that some beliefs are not useful and not conductive to the good of all involved. The belief that one should have to kill others is harmful and not beneficial, yet there is learning potential within it by showing others how harmful some beliefs can become.
How does one tell what a harmful belief system is? If it goes against the golden rule of treating others the way you want to be treated, then it is a harmful belief system. Even if you were all as little children, there would still be some bullies on the playground. These bullies would spread fear, hate, and anger. Those three toxins should not be any of your belief systems, for they do much to hinder and corrupt.
Therefore, here are my words to you: The faiths that follow the principles of the golden rule are beneficial and are worthy of respect and acceptance. The beliefs that go against the principles of the golden rule need not be among you.
Yet you need to be cautious my children. There is a danger of these words being interpreted as a statement to go out and wipe out some belief systems. These words have the great danger as being used as an excuse to wipe out a faith that is unpopular with many.
Instead I tell you this: When you find a belief that goes against the principles of the golden rule, simply say "I do not wish to become involved with your beliefs" and walk away. If a faith goes against the golden rule, then simply walk away and do not look back. Let it stay there. For a house divided amongst itself by fear, anger and hate will inevitably collapse. The house that stands united and in cooperation will stand.
If the belief attempts to harm you, then action should be taken to stop it. Do not allow it to dominate you, control you, or intimidate you. Harmful beliefs seek to bind you to them, rather then empowering you to make your own choices and decisions (the same may be said of spiritual teachers). Do not let a non-golden rule based belief system take over.
There are many beliefs and faiths in your world my children, some of them beneficial and some of them a hindrance. All have their part to play in this world, for by experiencing them and coming away, you may be wiser and stronger then before. All faiths and beliefs are a part of the puzzle of life.
Do not have your faiths become so complicated and full of rules and laws that you become overwhelmed. Return to the simple faith, the belief of treating others the way you want to be treated. Play nice, share your toys, be kind and generous.
See the deeper meanings behind your religious letters. Attempt to see the entire message behind a holy book or a chapter in that book. While there may be individual parts in those books that have no spiritual value, or even entire chapters that have no spiritual value, there is always something of benefit to be found in a spiritual interpretation of your faiths.
So turn to the deeper meaning, the spirit behind the letters and the words. Look to the spiritual meanings and values. And remember the golden rule, for it is truly the only law in existence and it is supreme. It is followed by all, including myself.
Follow the higher threads and common bonds of love, loyalty, helpfulness, generosity and being kind to one another. Help one another, care for one another, and protect one another. These are the traits of higher spirituality, and all beneficial religions, faiths, and beliefs have them.
If you remember that what you do has a consequence, that what you send out comes back to you in one form or another, and that others will treat you as you treat them, then you will know why you should be like innocent children, and why should follow the lessons you learned in kindergarden. If everyone followed these things, then heaven on earth would be here.
Look around. You are all my children, you are all my most beautiful and precious creations. I love every single one of you, and there is nothing any of you can do to make me feel otherwise. See that you are all children of God, no matter what your faith is.
You ask your daddy what he wants you to do, and here is your daddy's answer:
Play nice. Have fun. Laugh. Share your toys. Hug each other.
And above all else, love each other.
I come before you my children with a favor to ask. I would like you all to be like little children. Get along and share your toys. Be nice and polite to each other. Share in the joys and laughter of this world. Do not be as men, killing and arguing over each other in regards to beliefs.
