  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Merry Christmas

lol Those Care Bears are sure tied in good. We used pliers and a knife on ours this year. If I have to try to pry out one more Brat Doll from a box, I may lose my mind. And, yet, tomorrow is my daughter's b-day party. More presents to pry open! I nearly lost an eye on a camera yesterday, but I did manage to find the floor in two rooms. Progress.
Yeah, my Hannah has a birthday in just a few weeks. And you guessed it, she wants a Reading Care Bear. So here I go again, lol. I finally got the house cleaned today which brings up a good point. Ginger always kept an imaculate house. Always clean and tidy, even with 4 kids (well 5 if you count me!) running around. I'm not a very good house keeper and that part has really gotten to me. I miss my clean house! I've gotten the kids more involved in cleaning up after themselves (They call me Sergeant on the weekends) but I just can't keep it organized. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to lower my expectations of what the house looks like most of the time.

:sigh: Yeah, I've never been very good at the housekeeping thing myself. Cheryl, being busy with school, didn't always keep the house tidy, but if it wasn't, she at least kept it from getting out of control. My biggest housekeeping problem is the mail. It is all over the place. She always took the mail and made it disappear. If there was something that I needed to deal with she gave it to me and got me to do something with it, but the rest just got taken care of, whether it was trashed, filed, or paid/mailed/etc. :(

One thing to remember is she had you to lean on when she was tired. Your soldiering this battle alone, and it is only natural the house will suffer a little. Relax, try not to put too much pressure on yourself. You are already doing the job of two parents. The kids will survive if the dinner dishes aren't done until breakfast. We now have all floors showing in our home, so I feel that I accomplished something this week. Yeah!

You could do what I do and forget and leave it in the car! I have piles in the car I never remember to take in the house. At least it's not all over the house I guess...

Hey, everyone
Christmas was late for us, so I feel a little behind everyone.

We had a nice Christmas, but my oldest daughter did not join us. She is bipolar and took a nosedive. She was very upset that I did not hang Terry's stocking on the mantle and she took hers down. She took the car and was gone for a couple of days. She did return home eventually. I told her I couldn't put Terry's stocking up. It would have been too hard for everyone to see it there. She is not speaking to her siblings and is ice cold to me. She does return to her dorm on Tuesday. Please be in prayer for her.

I'm so glad 2006 is over.

We all made it through! Thank you to everyone. I, for one, could not have gotten through this season without you.

I noticed the housekeeping thing. I cannot keep up with the housekeeping, either. I have a woman who comes in every other week and gives the house a great sprucing up. It is well worth the money.

My kids are older and are great at helping out with the house. But, it is wonderful to have someone come in to do a deeper cleaning. Just food for thought!

I'm praying for your family. Living w/ bi-polarism is so hard. God bless you.

I am praying that God will someday heal the hurt in your daughter's heart, and I am sure He will. It may take more time than for others but it will happen.

On the house cleaning thing. I am alone in this house so it doesn't get very dirty. Besides I have always been a "picker upper" so to speak and, because of my wife's illness, have done the house keeping for several years anyway. I have found that with the mail if I make a side trip by the garbage can on the way from the mail box, there is a lot less to build up on the counter. Used to drive my wife crazy when I did that... lol I too have a house cleaner come in every two weeks and it does really help. If one can afford it...it's definitely the way to go.
Here's wishing everyone a better year than the last one. I am having a hard time today starting this year without Patsy... :-( I've been leaning on the Lord a lot this morning...and it has helped. I know it will get better as time goes on.

We are praying for your daughter JeanR. God will be with her.

The house keeping help sounds like a good idea. I have a lady at church who cleans houses as kind of a side job. I think I'll give her a call and see about hiring her a couple times a month.
