I know that it usually lasts for 5 days ...sometimes 6....but how do I figure out how many days that is between periods... i have to choose a number from the list and they range from... 22-45... how do i know what # to choose between all those numbers?

im sorry if this is a stupid question.. im just trying to keep track of my ovualtion calculater...

The first day of your period is *day one*, and the last day before your next period is the length of your cycle.

So you just start counting from the first day of your period, and start from one all over again on the first day of your next period, and whatever number you got up to in between the two periods is your cycle length...

Honestly it really doesn't matter what you put. It is just for information purposes, generally the average cycle is between 28-32 days so just pick one in there.

Hmmm....I thought it did matter, especially for the purposes of TTC...because it makes a difference as to when your fertile time is and when you do conceive it might change your due date by a few days...

I am sorry I didn't clarify, I mean for the purpose of the software being used. It is for information only. once you have had 3 cycles you will be able to determine what your cycle length is, but for the initial information section on the software it doesn't really matter what you put, if you don't know the number of days.

well if you want to chart it correctly try to remember the day your last cycle, if when it started it was jan 3 and your cycle started again today; then in essence, you would have had a 107 day cycle, you said something about barely having them so I tried to give an example reasonable to your situation...I myself use the same program online...my longest was like 67 days and I am mostly regular....so it can deviate from the average 28-32 day rule. that doesnt make you abnormal that's just the normal for you.

Yes but don't count the first day of your next period, stop counting the day before.
