ive memorized a lot and i know i should memorize more, any tips on memorizing???????

I find it easier to memorize what I see and hear, compared to memorizing what I only see or only hear.

Listen to an audio Bible while you are doing your memory work, or read the verses out loud.

Flashcards. You can take them anywhere and are easy reference.

Work in pairs. Saying it back and forth helps me a lot and while the other is reciting, you often tend to keep saying it over and over to yourself while they are trying to spit it out and you learn without really trying to.

Write it out. Writing out Scripture helps me. Hearing and seeing isn't as useful as doing when it comes to learning for most people.

There is a secret to memorizing.
The secret never fails and will always produce results.
I have memorized entire chapters using this secret.

The secret to memorizing is:

HARD WORK and PRACTICE.

I will make copies of whatever needs to be memorized and just keep them in my pocket. Whenever I have a moment, its practice time.

The only tip I've got is that the King James Version is easiest to memorize.

put a verse on paper then tape it to the bathroom mirror. as im brushing my teeth, hair, etc. i read the verse outloud. then when i know the verse, i change it to another one.

There is also a really good book, that I must confess I need to dust off and use. It's called Memorize This! It has flashcards in the back, but the chapters divide them topically and whatnot. It also has a study guide/helpful hints for memorizing verses.

I don't memorize. I make notes of the passages I want to refer to in the future in a big Microsoft Excel file.
