Actually I was referring to Paul's admonition not to allow a woman authority over men. Now you can shoot me.
Shot by who? The ones that think a woman can be a pastor under any circumstances or the ones that think no woman can be a pastor under any circumstance? Your position statement kinda skimmed the center thereWould I get shot if I pointed out that as a woman she has no grounds for taking the title of "pastor" unless she is taking her authority from another, senior pastor? She's a widow, so she can't be covered by her husband, so where's her covering coming from?
I'm not going to hold that against her. I have more than a "questionable past," I have a deceitful, evil past. But look what Christ has done in me. How can I hold anyone's past against them based on my own? I know what kind of power is in Jesus, from personal experience. Read my profile.I learned later that she has a questionable past, but I'm not going to fault her for the past.
I just Googled:
If were the bride of Chirst, then I must agree that no female should preach, but let our Husband, Jesus Christ, do the preaching regardless of what vessel He should appear in.
The point is that were His bride , female regardless of our gender, and Christ is the male in this relationship. In the resurrection there is niether male nor female and I assures you if Christ does live in you, you've been raised from amongst the dead.
ok, got ya....I use to be against female pastors, but I think I'm starting to have a change of heart. one more question, and i'll quit drifting from OP.... we wont have genders in heaven?
