I'll give you a hint.
Wine and Bread.
Body and Blood.
What is it that the 'priests' of the order of Melchizedek do? What is their liturgy.
The laity of the order of Melchizedek have a liturgy also. What do they do?
Forgive me...
I don't know about the Catholic parishioners, but we Orthodox parishioners bake the prosphora (blessed bread that a portion is used in the Eucharist) every weekend (Saturday usually) that is presented to the priest Saturday evening or sometime on Saturday or even before DL on Sunday morning for the priest to consecrate during the DL.Does this mean you and others may offer the bread and wine?
i have heard of this being done before at catholic parishes, it is not common but it is done sometimeI don't know about the Catholic parishioners, but we Orthodox parishioners bake the prosphora (blessed bread that a portion is used in the Eucharist) every weekend (Saturday usually) that is presented to the priest Saturday evening or sometime on Saturday or even before DL on Sunday morning for the priest to consecrate during the DL.

It has been a Jewish belief for centuries that Malki Tzedek was Shem, the son of Noah.
He would have been alive at the time of Abraham. Shem lived to be 600+ years old.
Abraham was born 292 years after the flood. Shem would have then been aorund 310 years old at the birth of Abraham. Abraham lived to be 175 years old. You add that to 292 and you get 135 years. Shem from the time of the flood outlived Abraham by 135 years. The events of him meeting Malki Tzedek would have transpired before Issac was born so that would have to be before Abraham was 100 probably somewhere between 88 and 99 . So Shem would have been around 398- to 409 years old when this recorded meeting took place.
Thank you for the info, Rhamiel.i have heard of this being done before at catholic parishes, it is not common but it is done sometime
This is true - the foot washing on Holy Thursdays. It usually takes place in the large churches/cathedrals where the bishop resides (the bishop for that area).Interesting connections to Table of the LORD. The OT priests once changed the shewbread each Saturday. Not sure when they made it, maybe Friday, as no work on Saturday?
EO also partially retained the foot washing on Thursday (as it ends at sunset Thursday, not as it began at sunset Wednesday).
Thanks,

According to Jewish commentary on Genesis 14:18-20, the city of Salem = Jerusalem and Melchizedek was Shem, the most honored son of Noah who had been made priest in Jerusalem. He was called Melchizedek because he was the king of the future site of the Temple, the home of righteousness. This priesthood was passed on to Abraham.
I don't know if that is a "new" teaching or not. It is my understanding that it came from Maimonides who studied the Oral Torah so I am not sure if that teaching can be dated for sure. Are you aware of a date for it?Not my understanding. Do you know the reason for that "new" teaching that Melchizedek is assumed to be Shem?
The greek word for "jerusalem" is a combination of 2 greek words. That is my understanding too.

The importance would be that it changes what Paul said and by reasoning would call into question what he said and water down the Word. That does not soumnd like Holy Spirit leading to me.Do you recall the reason given for the connection with Shem as opposed to the "no traceable lineage (no father and no mother)" comment (Heb. 7:3)? IOW, to whom and why is it important to make the Shem association?
Biblically he had no beginning or end, no one knows but the word assumed is appropriate as that is the only way to know I guess
