Mel is a certainly a braveheart. He is discussing his next project, a film on Judas Maccabees the Jewish hero of Hannukah.

It'll be good. I can't wait. I wish he would make a prequel to The Passion about the Life of Christ.

Good for him, it brings an opportunity for some history education, and a great movie to the family friendly cinema (hopefully).

One thing I note that the stories I have seen on this has been oblivious of, is that this is also a Catholic story. I mean, it's in the Bible. I can see why the average person would be oblivious to this, since the protestants cut the books of Maccabees out of the Bible, but you'd think that it would be easy enough to research.

What I mean is, this isn't necessarily a "Hanukkah" story. Yes, Hanukkah does have its roots in these events, but they are relevant for other reasons.
