What are your thoughts on mel Gibson is anyone going to support his movies?

I try not to choose my entertainment based on the personal lives of the artists. If I did, I'd probably not watch any movies at all. I'm not necessarily a big Gibson fan to begin with, but I loved Braveheart and The Patriot and I'll still watch those movies.

Me as a black man I was hurt because I really enjoy movies and he's a awesome director............But his comments kinda put a damper on his legacy and my enjoyment of his movies.

There are too many issues surrounding the current issue with Mel. For instance, after the recordings were examined by forensics experts, they came to the conclusion that not only were the recordings made professionally, but that also Mel's wife was using a professional microphone and there were many edits and fades where Mel was talking.

It'll certainly be interesting to hear what he has to say when he finally comes out to address the issue. I'm sure his lawyers are telling him to keep quiet for the moment.

I doubt it was made up, but I'm thinking his wife is a gold digger who is trying to make him look bad to the public so she can clean him out at court when she goes to divorce him. I won't be surprised if she did a lot to get him that angry during their conversations that was edited out.

People attack religion and races all the time. As for going off on a woman, well some have it coming to them. Some guys have it coming to them too.

Here's my take on the whole thing.

Mel Gibson apparently has an anger and a drinking problem. He spews hateful garbage (has it even been confirmed that it's really him? I've taken audio coursework in college, and it's amazing the kind of technology audio engineers have nowadays...) and obviously it's not great for his image.

That being said, hes obviously a flawed individual, but aren't we all? The media in this country is notorious for blowing things out of proportion and deliberately trying to destroy people, i.e. Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and most recently, Lindsay Lohan.

Anyways, I don't think Mel's personal life should have anything to do how much you enjoy his movies. His talent and track record (imo) should be the only determining factors there. The Passion of the Christ is still one of the most powerful films I have ever seen in my life..

As with any other actor, I will watch his movies if they look interesting to me. He is, after all, just an actor (producer, director, etc) so I couldn't really care less what he believes. He gets paid to entertain and if his movies are entertaining, I will pay to see them.

I've heard many talented artists are bipolar. When they're manic they do great work. When they're depressed they take drugs to try to feel better... Then they tend to do things like get DWIs and choke on their own vomit when they are passed out.
