  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yes God forbid anyone actaully starts comparing these Messages with Scripture to find out that they totally contradict God's Word.

No but seriously, if you're willing to believe this spirit the question really is what will you believe in next?

Rofl I love these Smilies.

Shelb your words make baby Jesus cry.
Sevryn, I will advise you to re-read the forum rules carefully. One thread of yours has already been trashed tonight, and you're on the verge of gaining a warning for violation of the rules.

Tread carefully. I have re-read all of your posts in various forums, and you are under extremely close scrutiny. Reign in your provacative tone, or you will have to be disciplined.

Wolseley,
---Christian Forums Senior Administrator.

Can I catch a brake for once, people gave their opinions and so I gave mine. Are you telling me I have to agree with everyone on this forum or else I am not welcome here?

It's not like I am making stuff up, heck if you want me to I can pull out quotes from the medjugorie website of what the message was and how it contradicts scripture.

If I did that would that satisfy you?

You are free to disagree with Medjugorje all you like. It is your combative tone, coupled with your sarcasm and your anti-Catholicism, that's getting you into trouble.

Comments like "Your words make Baby Jesus cry" don't help, either. Are you now presuming to speak for God?

And by the way, arguing with a moderator on the open forum is another violation of the rules----you are not helping yourself.

Tread with care, my friend. I have no compunctions about disciplining you if you force me to.

No because you are in the Catholic sub forum; this is why it seems unfair to you. You can not come in here and argue just like I can not go into one of the many different protestant sub forums and argue with you. We are discussing something amongst ourselves and you pop in here insinuating that we are following Satan, you don’t find that rude to say the least?

Come now, I was not the first who said that this spirit maybe demonic. I could find you referances to Catholic clergy and other well known Catholic leaders who said that manifestations of Medjugorie are demonic.

Or better yet I can give you referances to the messages themselves, you can go to the official Medjugorie website and read the messages and compare them to scripture.

I may have jumped the gun, but I already spend a heafty time researching and comparing these messages and they are not biblical. I am not asking you to take my word for it, why not do the research yourself?

http://www.medjugorje.org/

Can I ask you a question? Since you think these manifestations are of God can you tell me why exactly you believe this? I would appreciate if you told me why?

Would you mind quoting me, where I said that?

I guess, you missed the part where I said Catholics are discussing this, you are allowed to participate, but not tell us how wrong we are. You can fellowship with us but not tell us how wrong we are. You can ask honest questions but not tell us how wrong we are.

As far as medj goes, I already gave my opinion.

Is it demonic? I dunno. I will wait for the Church to give her word, if she ever does.

I don’t think you understand how following Marian apparitions work so I really do not want to indulge you unless you are willing to learn fully what it is we practice and believing about them. There are amny apparitions that are authentic and not from Satan.

Funny, I have spent a hefty amount of time researching and comparing Protestant messages and find them not to be biblical, but I'm not over in one of your sub-forums picking that fact apart. Please show us the same respect. ;)

That's cute, I am a fundamentalist but I guess I will make that clear right here and now before I get bombarded with false assertions about my beliefs.

Pm me if you got a problem with me and my beliefs and I will be more than happy to clear up any misconceptions that you might have.

Thanks.

You know what I am eager to know what you believe about these so called apparitions. I am eager to hear why you think these messages are devine rather than demonic. I will set aside what I believe because I am really curious to hear what's so great about these apparitions, can you please ellaborate for me? You can ask me questions anyhting you want and I will be more than happy to listen to this; if you will permit me at the end to ask you a question as well that would be cool.

Heck we can even go to Pm's, whichever is good for you.

Well it will have to be in the morning because I’m going to bed now.

I’ll say two things before I go, 1, what messages are you talking about that have been approved by the Church you would like to discus and 2 do you understand that we are not talking about doctrine but devotion and private revelation? Even Catholics are not required to believe in any apparition if they chose not to.

Ok good night, forget about it tonight. Come back tomorrow and post here, but focus on why you think these Messages are from God. FIrst just ellaborate what you exactly believe about them, and then tell me what's so good about them. You can pretty much discuss any messages you want, but I would appreciate if you focused more on Messages that the Church has approved.

Medjugorie or not, personally Medjugorie to me is another can of worms; lets focus on your beliefs of the Messages that have been accepted by your Church as worthy of belief.

I only have one question that I will ask you at the end, rather more like my observation of what I learned from researching all these apparitions.
