well I hate be the one to break it to you, just because someone makes it up doesn't mean it's any less real. Let me explain before you jump down my throat.
The person is lying to themselves mostly, however when they believe it, it becomes as real as the floor they stand on. Phsycotic maybe, but that's life.
Im truthfully not jumping down your throat (at all) or desiring to do that. I dont know how you could possibly read that into what I wrote in my post.
Honestly, I cant possibly judge anothers heart whether they be lying to God or themselves. Thats Gods jurisdiction not mine.
If another both believes and feels a postive effect in simply closing their eyes while thinking "peaceful thoughts" who am I to throw a stone at them for it? How do they mean ill will toward "anyone" (be it God, man or themselves) in doing that?
I'd feel far more "Pharisitic" in judging what might labeled "Phsycotic" .Though I realize that we all must live and answer for both our words as well as our own judgments as our Lord has made that clear. Thats just "mine".
Peace
