Medication Inspiration - A Prayer Request

I've come to the realization that I'm having such a difficult time with reading the Word because of the major pain medications that I take on a daily basis and this is wreaking havoc with my inspiration to read the Word?

I have spoken with my primary doctor about getting off these medications and he has said it's impossible because of my condition. He sent me to a pain specialist who has told me the same and it's really taking over my life which terrifies me. I attempted taking myself off these medications and I ended up being rushed to the hospital with serious withdrawals that almost killed me because of heart arythmias caused from going "cold turkey" with these meds. Those doctors told me that the damage to my spine is so bad that I will never be able to go off pain medication as long as I live and I can't accept this?

So, I'm here today to ask a special prayer request for me to be healed of this horrible disease and to be able to get off these medications before it gets to a point of no return???

praying for total restoration of your body.If you go to Andrew Wommack site he has a lot of teaching for one that needs healing.He will even send you FREE,(free is good) CDs if you can not afford it.He has all his broadcasts archived to listen to.His teaching will renew your mind to Gods will for you.I think you will like him,he is very down to earth and simply sits and teaches the word that is easy to understand.

I pray for you every morning....first off, no more trying to go "cold turkey". You are on some seriously addictive stuff and you cannot (as you found out) just quit because your body is not in a normal ability to fight it like as in, if that was your only problem.

If there comes a time where you don't need them down the road, then so be it Praise the Lord, but God did give us the ability to make medication for the reason you are using it.

I understand how it affects your ability to comprehend the Word and the inspiration to study. You have also been battling a cold too, right? So you're extra tired mentally from that as well.

God can and will give you clarity regardless of medication or no medication. This is a spiritual battle. God wants you, you belong to Him. Satan wants you too, and will do whatever it takes to mess with you so you give up on God. True believers can never give up on God, but still the devil will try to run you down any way he can.

Father God, I pray for Bo right now. Please give him the strength he needs to read your word and also give him understanding. Make your word clear in his mind, regardless of his medication. Please heal his condition Lord so that he won't need the medication anymore, but Father your will above ours. Let it be your will for him to be healed. Please give him wisdom and knowledge to understand your teachings. Write them on his heart so he will have them where ever he goes. Please give him a hedge of protection against the enemy while you are strengthening him. Give him discernment to know when the battle is spiritual and let the Holy Spirit guide him to fight against the enemy that wars against his soul. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Michelle, your prayer has moved me to tears. Yes you are correct, I am fighting a nasty cold and today it is winning!

I was watching a Billy Graham special yesterday and they were asking for spiritual counselors to help around the world with bringing people to Jesus Christ and they offer specialized training so that we know what we're doing so, I thought this is definitely something I could do and I was shot down immediately!

It seems they do not want people who take pain medications because we DO NOT think straight and that could be a hazard to new folks wanting to become Christians according to the website? WHAT?

I guess they're not that desperate after all as they proclaimed???

I sure hope that's true Michelle? I've been working hard on the new internet ministry and I've been drawing a blank the past two days? I have a total of five pages to use and I can't decide what to put on the other four pages that will really reach those who the site is intended for?

I've thought about a "Prayer Page" and maybe a "Guest Book" page for folks to sign but, you really need to be careful with that type of idea because you never know what someone is going to put into print that you don't want the general public seeing? I'm not talking about personal attacks towards the site owner, I'm talking more along the lines of poor language and things of that nature???

Now that's a great idea Michelle! That would be an excellent way to get folks to see God's purpose for us by His promises for us.

I was thinking also maybe a page titled "About Us" (which really wouldn't be "us" cuz there's just me, lol) but, I could use that page as my personal testimony to show how I came to God and changed my ways however, I don't want the site to appear to be about me because that's not the intention of the website either.

Well, today's kind of rough day pain-wise so, I'm writing down these ideas and will wait until another time to work on the website because. I don't want to work on it while I'm medicated because that has proven to be quite the task, lol. I make more mistakes than I do making headway! LOL

I believe I've discovered my main reason why I'm having such a difficult time with reading the Word (being medicated constantly) and it's clearly stated in the Bible.
