CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When I was younger I wanted to go to medical school, but I've since changed my mind. I'm now looking to go into a more research and industry-related career.

Yes I am, (sorry for the late reply). I was hoping to find someone that is going into the health fields or something like that so that I could kind of "check in" with them on progress etc and ask for advice. I'm currently in my second year at university, how about you? What made you change your mind?

Thanks for the reply. I was kind of just wandering about people's stories really. There experiences getting in or what they are doing now and where they are headed.

I am in my last year of nursing school....it is my second degree, the first being when I was younger and that was a BS in Bioengineering.
I love nursing...however, I have never been in a program so difficult or time consuming. That textbook that I used to believe would cover 2 semesters ... well, we read it cover to cover and are tested over the contents ... in 8 weeks ... besides putting in two 8 hour days in the hospital each week.

rayquest my best buddy and old member here in CF is a medical graduate (doctor)
