  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yup, I tend to look at AP / Reuters for facts. I know WSJ is going to be conservative but then again, the few stories I look at from them is financial news. NPR, NYT I know will be moderate left. While I'm liberal, I'm cautionary about news from say Rolling Stone. If it is from Occupy Democrat, I will try to find the actual news from AP / Reuters.

WSJ has good reporting - especially business news - but their editorials are whack.

It takes me all day to parse the news. I get all my news from the gateway pundit and verify it thru CBS news. I cannot reconcile the stories with reality very often. Neither one is on the chart. I am so confused. When is the next Trump rally?

I guess the only thing I'd question (with regards to their selection) is why they're including podcasts in there...

With podcasts, often times they have guests that can range from normal to the absurd, and the guest that happens to be on always necessarily a reflection on the host.

And some of the items they're listed are redundant (and/or ran by the same person), yet have very different ratings.

For instance, on the right side of the spectrum, why is InfoWars ranked as less bias and more accurate than the Alex Jones show?

They're basically one in the same.

And on the left side of the spectrum, I'd be interested as to how they came to the conclusion that TYT was way less accurate than MotherJones and Salon.

MotherJones does good, original investigative journalism. I've only see TYT do reaction to the current news - recap and commentary.
