FoxNews didn't even exist back them. CNN was the onl 24/7 news show. Other channels only had an hour in the evening and an hour in the night for all news on weekdays.
Ahh ... so you're saying it takes all three broadcast networks plus a full-time cable news network, plus all print journalism to combat the truth? Guess that's probably always been the case for propaganda, huh?
Thanks for puttin' things in perspective, DaisyDay. I'm feelin' pretty good now. Thanks.

devoting an incredible 50 stories to the allegations since Monday morning. In contrast, over a similar period these networks mostly ignored far more substantial and serious scandals relating to Bill Clinton.
kermit said:Like I said in another thread, the Clinton incidents was before the 24-hour news cycle and before the internet. Trying to compary raw numbers is useless and potentially misleading.
Drudge reported on Lewinsky. Do you have any proof that he uncovered the Willey, Jones or Broaddrick scandals? Before the Internet? Drudge got most of the credit for exposing the scandal. Last I checked, he's on the Internet
When Clinton incidents occured the internet was still mostly a novelty and not a pervasive presence like it is today. The same with the 24-hour news cycle; yes, CNN existed but at the time the vast majority of people got their news from the evening news on the major networks. Before the Internet? Nope.Citizen Cain hasn't done much to help himself. First, he denied anything happened.

Sorry but Drudge took a lot of heat for breaking the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal ON THE INTERNET
In case you missed it, the OP makes no mention of Lewinsky. That means that this is not about Drudge or LewinskyIn case you missed it, the Lewinsky scandal only surfaced due to the Paula Jones lawsuit. Moreover, Lewinsky was one of the Clinton incidents
Republicans do set themselves up. When your party's mantra is "family values," you're gonna get hammered for any perceived indiscretion.
Citizen Cain hasn't done much to help himself. First, he denied anything happened. Then he couldn't remember the details. Then he admitted a settlement was paid. But he claimed that all he did was comment that a staffer was short, like his wife. Then he predicted that more allegations would come out, and blamed Rick Perry's campaign. Now he's backtracked on that. He's just been all over the place in responding to this. None of this may matter to conservative GOP primary voters, but he needs a lot more than them to win a general election.
