Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"The decision on the field stands. Louis please provide doumented proofs of your assertions and stop running quick out patterns in the incorrect direction. Louis is charged a time out. Catholics have the ball - first down."

Sorry, I've been watching too much football lately.

Louis, we've talked about this privately, it's time to concede that your knowledge of the Catholic Church is lacking and that the folks here >> Wol, Kirk, Vow, and Zoomom know their stuff.

You cannot learn when your arguing. I think an apology is in order as well.

Peace to you all.

whatever..I guess I'll just leave then. its obvious I have a problem with something and ya'll are not willing to explain it to me. If someone doesn't understand salvation and why God would kill his perfect son I will ALWAYS try to explain it to them and take many routes to do so. I guess this is not the case of catholics. I have read many books on catholism seeking to understand why they think humans can speak and do things perfectly when its shown in scripture that its not so. I haven't found anyone willing to sit and talk with me about it either. I guess you lack the patience or I lack the words to articulate my problem with the docterine. I'm not going to applogize because its not warrently. I'll just stop posting here and I guess on judgement day you will have to answer for your lack of patience and I will have to answer about my lack of asking the right questions. bye I won't be back. If you want me to provide evidence e-mail me and I'll send you alist of books you can read so you can be on the eye to eye with me. Until then see you in heaven. bye.

Oh I agree that wols knows his stuff, I don't think kirk does for he has proven that to me before, in words and attitude. Not sure about Zoomom, I haven't talk to her enough.

You're not asking questions, you're throwing around accusations. You make this charge that Catholics consider the writings of Saints inspired. We say "no" and you refuse to accept this, so you basically bite your thumb at all of us, call me an idiot, and leave.

Of course you're what, 20? Maybe in a few years you won't be so self centered, and so unwilling to admit when you're wrong.

One can only hope.

I'm 24.

But for some college kid to come in and start declaring that he knows OTHER peoples religions better than the practitioners of it do themselves, and refuses to cede thier position, they're acting just like a stereotypical teenager/early-20-something, who thinks they know everything.

Louis was wrong. Instead of being a man and admitting it, he ran away crying. His loss.

Louis, all I asked you to do was to provide me with some references. I hardly think that calls for "Well, you'll get yours, come judgement day".

And, I have also repeatedly provided links to legitimate Catholic websites which deal in apologetics and questions concerning topics like papal infallibility. Have you accessed them and read any of the material there?

21 and 24. Egad. I will be 41 this Sunday. Happy Birthday to Me. :)

And don't ask me how I ever got to be this old, because I don't have the first clue.

Blessings,
---Wols.

That's not that old, Wols.

BTW, be careful over at RaptureReady, if you're still going by that den of slime. Don't ever offend the One High and Mighty Christine, Infallible Purveyor of All Truth.

She banned me just for pointing out the fact that she had a factual error in one of her messages. She said I had an attitude. Right. In a place polluted with her, Sid, Jeff (not our Princely one), CoreIssue and others, *I'm* the problem.

I didn't even get the three warnings. I suppose those only apply if you offend lesser mortals, and not the High Holy Queen.

Typical Fundamentalist.

:) Yes, the RR board does tend to be more than a little prickly; but I really only go over there for amusement more than anything else. Curmudgeon and Arkyrich seem to know their stuff pretty well.

I've been tempted to cut and paste the Envoy review of the Left Behind books over there, just to see what the reaction would be. I know it didn't fly at the Pizza Parlor too well. :)

Blessings,
---Wols.

Then you should post it at the Pizza Parlor, too. They need to have a little steam left out of their egos.

Or maybe I'm just griping because I was supposed to be let back in when the new rules were posted, etc, which was supposed to be last month (it is now December, remember).

As for the Rapture Ready Board, I have to say, I've read over my exchange there, and aside from the fact that my stance grew more forceful as FloridaCP's logic grew more convoluted (trying to dodge the truth... common thread among Fundamentalists, natch), I did nothing wrong.
