  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm a big Meat Loaf fan. Bat Out of Hell is my favorite album because it doesn't really fit into any one rock genre (although because I'm a critic I believe Led Zeppelin IV is the most detailed album ever.) Bat II would've been a better album if the lyrics weren't repetitive, but I will say I'd Do Anything for Love is one of my favorite songs. Nobody mentioned Bat III. Bat III is a personal fave, too. It's not as good as II, but it has some great hits like It's All Coming Back to Me (originally a Celime Dion song), Alive, and The Future Ain't What it Used to Be. Dead Ringer was kinda meh, except for the title track featuring Cher. It kinda sucks that the music website I visit doesn't have many Cher fans. They don't Cher the love of her music.

Meat Loaf may not be as good a singer now than he was back then, but he can still sing a phone book and make it sound good. Anyone ever try the album Bad for Good by Jim Steinman, the man who wrote thr Bat trilogy? The album came out a year ofter Bat and sounds like a mix of the first two Bat albums. It does have a few songs that were later used on Bat II.

The first Bat gets some cool points for Todd Rundgren's involvement, otherwise, I'm fine with just a "Best Of" collection.

Oh, and I was on the music team at a "seeker driven" church years ago, and we did "I Would Do Anything (for Love)" during the services one weekend. And yes, my wife got to sing the lyric "sooner or later you'll be sc###ing around". In church!

That's my best Meatloaf story. Carry on.
