Of course since I lived in Europe for part of my life, during the mad cow outbreak, my entire family has pretty much avoided eating out altogether. I don't think I've ever had beef. Some things don't leave you when you leave Europe. And since hamburgers seem to be the main fare at fast food restaurants, they don't appeal to me, either. The closest thing I've had to fast food recently was a pre-made roasted chicken breast sandwich on wheat bread with lettuce, from Walmart's deli

so yeah, please dont diss mcdonalds. i havent eaten there in two years, and dont look to- because i have enoguh commonsense to avoid bad foods... but... i dont think mcdonalds is the reason americans are so darn fat. i say its the comfort factor.. comfort factor.. think about it

I work at a thatre and at Mcdonald's right now and McDonald's is HUGELY clean and uptight about quality. The franchises aren't always as great, but headquarters keeps an eye on them as well as their regular restaurants and there's nothing wrong.
The problem is the people who eat there, not the restaurant. Make good chocies and you'll be fine, eat like a pig on steroiads and you'll end up having a heart attack. It's the same thing as anywhere else, but it's just easier to pig out at Mcdonald's because it's less expensive than places that aren't fats food and people want to blame someone other than themselves.
It is NOT their fault. McDonalds is only doing what every other single company worldwide is trying to do, make money. Its YOU who has the problem if you go there, not McDonalds!! They will keep supplying you with the food that is cleaner than probaby most of all the other cheap food places you eat at if you keep going there! If you dont like it, dont go. VERY VERY simple. It really is. I dont like it and I dont go, but im not out there to tell other people how evil it is when it really isnt.

If I snacked in between, I would have fruit or yogurt. The weight couldn't peel off fast enough. The trouble isn't McDonalds. It's people ordering a double quarter pounder with cheese, a super sized order of fries, and a super sized non-diet soda 5 times a week. Exercise some self control and make healthy choices.....even at fast food restaurants.
