I told this person that she/he should ask this question here as there are many OT scholars on this board. Apparently she/he didn't feel the need to do that so I am bringing this question to all of you. Maybe someone here can help out.

You went to a lot of trouble on her behalf, Christie. That was really nice of you.

I think I can see two reasons why she wouldn't want the help of anyone here, though.
The first reason is that she is asking a rhetorical question, so she isn't after an answer; from what I've read so far, she sounds like she feels pretty sure she already knows the answer to her question.
The second reason is that she seems to have already decided that most Jews don't know the right answer to her question.
Hey, you never know, though; maybe somebody here will give her a hand anyhow.

I know, Christie! I've noticed more of that too lately, and what I really hate is that, for me, it's catching, like a really nasty case of the flu.
What I know for sure is that proving myself to be in the right isn't worth the hurt feelings I cause. So I "win" by making someone else lose, and then all I have to show for it is my little egotistical "victory" when I could have made a friend instead!
Christy, you know I lurk a lot, and I see that you're always trying to do something nice for someone, just like starting this thread for What's-Her-Name (Caisie?).
It encouraged me that you went to the trouble you did, just in case she needed help. Whether she took you up on it or not, it made me feel happy. Maybe that's kind of weird, but it still counts, right? You set out to make somebody happy and you made somebody happy. Mission accomplished!
