Yep. It took me that long to get a divorce. And on one hand I can be sorry but on another hand I'm glad to be through. It's rather complicated.

Went to eat lunch with my little man today. Dear Lord, they had BBQ chicken. I had it all over my arm and don't even know how. Talk about MESSY.

Yes there is a big relief if things were complicated and difficult.. you can now put it behind you..

Glad you could enjoy lunch with your little man.. sounds like fun in any case even with the mess sometimes you gotta laugh about those things..

ya, PC ... not much going on here last night.

After work I leave for an 8 hr drive to PA where I'll be hiking. Have a 9 mile hike with a 11 mile bike ride back to the car planned for tomorrow. Then on Sunday a 15 mile hike with a 19 mile bike ride back to the car. If I can still walk I'll do a 5 mile hike with a 7 mile bike ride. Hope my office job doesn't leave me hurting too much for being out of shape!

I still have trouble wrapping my mind around calling soccer "Football". But, I guess it's football everywhere but here in the States.

I have to engage the cloaking device when I have a delivery in Green Bay, Wisconsin, since the Packers VS Bears rivalry is pretty strong and I live in Bears territory. When it's "Game Day" between Chicago and Green Bay, things can get a might serious. Not violent, you understand--- we leave that to the British "Football" Hoodlums who are so good at it--- but still, being a Bears fan in Cheesehead* territory can be an adventure.

*Green Bay fans wear headgear that looks like a quarter-round of cheese, therefore they are called "Cheeseheads".

Aussie Rules Footy is very different from both soccer and rugby. Hope you get to experience a game one day.

barraking ... new word for me. Is that like what team were you cheering for? I see the Dictionary say to cheer and interrupt a speech.

'interrupt a speech' is pretty accurate cos when the fans barrack they can get pretty fired up and interrupt everything!!

I'm feeling pretty good right now cos I have just started 3 weeks leave. YAY!!
Was only going to be 2, starting next week but I asked to start early and it worked out.
Yippee!!! 1 week at home getting things sorted here and then down south for almost 2 weeks on the coast in my van for some much needed R & R

I think that's one of the reasons I've always wanted to live in Austrailia is cuz I had heard they had 4 week holidays (we call them vacations lol). Good for you! Hope the R & R does you wonders and you really have a great time.
Tonight I start my new second job at Kohls dept store. I'm excited and nervous. This was totally a God thing getting this job. It was the easiest job I've ever gotten and how often does that ever happen? Well it was pretty easy getting my day job too, but that was another God thing. My husband had just died at the beginning of the year and I was working retail and hating the hours for my kids. So a guy at my church who is a chiropractor had my boss as a patient. He asked him if he knew anyone looking for a job cuz his office gal was quitting and he gave me the number, I called, came for an interview, told him I needed to give 2 weeks notice and the rest is history been here 6 years so far. Don't plan on leaving until I retire unless he kicks me out lol. The Kohl's job, I just was looking on snagajob.com and saw they were hiring for seasonal help, so I put in my application thru snagajob and within a week they called me, interviewed in a group interview the next day and they called me last week and I start tonight. God is SO good to me right now.

Wow my friend.. a very busy weekend indeed.. it must be so good for you after your office job all week.. to be out in the fresh air.. doing all that physical stuff.. 'interrupt a speech' is pretty accurate cos when the fans barrack they can get pretty fired up and interrupt everything!!

They certainly get very riled up.. live the game.. but I guess in most every sport there are those who are totally committed as fans etc..

I have to smile.. at footy games.. even hearing impaired.. I can understand preety well what some fans are saying..

You heard right Michelle. We get 4 weeks leave per annum. I've heard you only get 2!! I just can't imagine that. And I was going to say "I'm on holidays" but last time I did that my 'over there' friends got rather confused about what I meant thinking it was some kind of long term public celebration or something....I don't know....managed to confuse me as well

Yeah I was confused the first time I heard an Aussie say I'm on Holiday, but I'm educated now LOL. How it works at my job is I get 2 weeks of paid time on the anniversary of my hire date each year (which for me is November) but I don't get 2 weeks off. I could if I wanted but it's extra pay if I don't and I have no money to spare so...but if I need time off at a different time, my boss will oblige me, I just won't get paid while I'm off. But yeah, most companies only give 2 weeks paid, can you believe that?
So I went to a new Bible study last night and we were studying James and how to be happy even in trials and they asked about trials in our lives, so I said my trial was my finances to which they immediately started asking me if I took the crown financial course our church offers. I love how people almost always assume you must not be doing something right and offer pat answers. I know the principals of getting out of debt and I have been a long time tither but when the 2 ends don't meet anymore all the principals in the world will not help. The leader started talking about this guy in their class when they took the course or taught the course that didn't know that he was supposed to tithe off his gross and said he could not do that, and then weeks later after he tried it he couldn't believe he had more money then he had before. But what they don't know is that I have been tithing consistenly on my gross for the past 6 years, but lately I cannot justify tithing and then having to charge my groceries and gas and that is why I got a second job. Why can't people not always try to fix your problems and just listen instead and then maybe pray before they open their mouths. They ended up loaning me a book from the course to read and as I've read thru it, its all the same stuff I already know and am doing.

Sorry your class mates only added to your burdens not prayed and helped just by listening and understanding.. I haven't been tithing lately sigh but I have never run out though things are very tight.. GOD is good.. your doing amazing sis.. I unfortunately have tried to do the same with people and not care about them... I am slowly learning..
