I'm not sure if I posted this in the right forum. However, I'm somewhat new to really studying Scripture, and there's a lot I still don't understand.

Something I'm confused about lately is Matthew and Luke's differing genealogies of Christ. What happens after King David..? Thank you for any help!!

When Joseph married Mary they became one flesh and thus Mary's genealogy became Joseph's as well as Christ being his son according to the flesh by marriage.

what I like to take away from the genealogies is what they were intended to prove.
Matthews = Jesus is the Messiah/King
Mark= Jesus was a Servant. Servants don't get genealogies.
Luke= Son of man
John= Son of God, He is God and has always been God.
