A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

People are the trees. Those tress that are rooted in Christ bear only good fruit -- actions that are pleasing to God. Those who are not rooted in Christ have only rotten fruit -- no matter what they do, they can not please God.
