There are approximately 328.2 million (2019) people residing in the US.
There are approximately 614 billionaires in the US

Suppose they all kicked in a gave every American 1 million dollars.

Now .... money certainly don't solve everything .... but .... what do you think would happen if some (or even one) of these billionaires gave away 1 million to each person?

I agree with the general idea but I think:

382,000,000 times 1,000,000 = 382,000,000,000,000. (That's 382 Trillion, nobody has that much money.)

Not saying it would be good ..... like everything would be good and bad come out of it.

Seems like most everything (secular) is money driven one way or another, would be interesting to see what kind of impacts it would have on society.

I mean if everyone had a million to provide for their material needs, what would change? .... would it change/improve all the "strife" going on?

The strife going on is not from general society.

It is from paid agitators and from politicians and the media who have a vested interest in strife, division, turmoil, untruth, propaganda confusion, etc. to serve their political purposes, which are the unraveling and take-down of capitalist America to be replaced with socialism for a socialist America, where the government owns the means of production instead of private businesses.

That's been tried and failed miserably. Consult with anyone who has ever lived under such a system, e.g., Cuba.

They wouldn't have to promote it in that case , because if everyone had 1 million, no one would work,
and there would be no food, goods, supplies, services, etc., and then you really would have strife.

I agree socialism it not a good system of government ... but the topic isn't about that.

However, socialism becomes the topic when you talk about all the strife going on.

From the 26th verse I think we can assume that God is able to make a separation between a covetous person and their possessions in order for that person to be saved.

Absolutely. . .man needs motivation. . .why work when you can play?. . .full-time play is not good for fallen man, does not build character.

He must be doing something more than self-indulgence in pleasure.

He needs to be practicing some form of discipline that takes him outside himself--education, serving others, etc.

I'm still physically able .... I just enjoy staying home and messing around with crafts and home improvement projects and study the bible a lot.

The question was regarding idleness and character in terms, in my mind, of working age adults.

Understand economics and what makes it run. People MUST work and produce goods and services. Even the Bible says, Any who would not work, neither shall he eat."

The rich and the poor meet together; the LORD is the maker of them all.
