The Principal of Mattersey Hall Bible College is Rev. Dr. Glen. Balfour

Glen Balfour came as a student to Mattersey Hall in 1982,at the age of 18. While there he also completed a Bachelor Degree with Kings College,London. Following his studies at Mattersey Hall,he served first at Emmanuel Church,Newark (AOG) for 7 years,as Associate Pastor and then at Tennison Road Church,Cambridge (AOG) for a further 7 years,as Senior Leader. During this time he completed a Master's Degree and a Doctor's Degree with Nottingham University and began teaching at Mattersey Hall...' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

Glen took up a full-time post at Mattersey Hall in 2000 and served the college in this capacity for the next 15 years,first as Director of Studies,then as Vice Principal and finally as Principal. He took up the post of Teaching Pastor at Net Church,Dartford,Sittingbourne,Woolwich (AOG) in 2015. In 2017 he returned to Mattersey Hall as Principal' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

'Principle Glenn Balfour's teaching specialism is the two main Biblical languages,New Testament Greek and Biblical Hebrew,as well as New Testament studies. He is the Author of,'A Step by Step Introduction to New Testament Greek' (2005) and an accompanying Memory Aids publication,as well as 'A Step by Step Introduction to Biblical Hebrew' (2009). At present he is working on 'A Verse by Verse Introduction to the Greek Text of Mark's Gospel' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

MARK BUTTON is the College Dean and a Lecturer at Mattersey Hall Bible College. He has B A (Wales) and M A (Chester). He has been in fulltime ministry since 2003,first leading an AOG church in Ruskington,Lincolnshire,before moving to Hull to pioneer a church plant,birthed out of partnership between the Methodist Church and the Pioneer Network. Mark studied at Mattersey Hall,completing his B A in Biblical and Applied Theology in 2003 and then studied for his M A in Biblical Studies from which he graduated in 2015. He currently lectures on Pauline Studies and Church Planting. Mark is married to Deana and they have two children. He loves sport (especially playing golf) as well as eating out,watching good films and reading' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

Catherine Shield M A (Chester) is the Director of Studies and a Lecturer at Mattersey Hall. She originally studied mathematics graduating from the University of Leeds in 2009 with a BSc. She worked as a private Maths Tutor for a number of years before coming to Mattersey Hall where she completed a Graduate Diploma in Theological Studies,followed by a Master's in Biblical Studies. Beginning work at the National Ministry Centre for AOG GB,as a Finance Assistant in 2013,Catherine is now the Director of Studies at Mattersey Hall,overseeing the academic administration and lecturing in New Testament Greek and New Testament Studies. She is currently involved in Discipleship at At Nicholas Church,Bawtry and serves on this area by leading a Bible Study group and Alpha course with her husband. Catherine and Alex married in 2016 and live with their two children in Doncaster. Alex works as an Intern in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and is pursuing ordination in the Church of England' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

'ELIZABETH BRIGHTWELL MA is a Lecturer at Mattersey Hall. Lily was a Secondary School Teacher for eight years before she joined the Mattersey Hall Team in 2012,as a visiting lecturer,teaching Greek. She completed her MA in Biblical Studies in 2011 and eventually took up a part-time position in 2014. Lily is married to Paul and they have two sons. They are part of the Leadership Team at the Bridge Church,Retford and have a passion to see their community transformed by the love and power of God. In their spare time they enjoy family days out and good food' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

GARETH CHEEDY is part of the Visiting Faculty at Mattersey Hall. He is a Baptist Minister from South Wales. Gareth has been a popular and perceptive Teacher of Christian Counselling at Mattersey Hall for over twenty years,which he teaches to first year students during,'Activate,' in May' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

'ANDREW GEORGIOU is a member of the visiting faculty. He has been involved in pastoring since graduating from Mattersey Hall in 1984,both as a Home Missions Worker and an Assemblies of God Minister. In 2007 he took up the position of full-time Prison Chaplain within the Juvenile Prisons. He is a member of the AOG GB National Chaplaincy Team and teaches 'An Introduction to Chaplaincy during 'Activate' He holds a M A in Missional Leadership' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

PETER CAVANNA is part of the Mattersey Hall visiting faculty. He has been in Christian Leadership since 1995,having served as Assistant Pastor,at Reviews Life Church,Torquay and later as the Senior Minister at Kings Church,an International Pentecostal Church in Cambridge. He is a graduate from Mattersey Hall and lectures on Christian Doctrine,Understanding and Communicating the Bible and Bible Survey,the New Testament,drawing from his studies and his own experience of charismatic ministry. He also teaches,Pentecostal Theology at under-graduate and post-graduate levels having had front-line evangelistic events in 25 different cities in Brazil,accompanied by power ministry,as well as itinerary throughout North America and Europe. For our 3rd year students,Peter oversees the graduate dissertation programme,as well as supervising some of our Masters students who chose to write on charismatic and leadership topics. He is passionate about the place of the Holy Spirit in contemporary Christianity. He has co-authored two short Grove books,'The Healing Ministry of St Paul' and 'Discerning the spirits-Evaluating the Prophetic voice,'which was based on his Master in Theology dissertation (University of Wales) He is currently engaged with doctoral studies in 'Exploring the Multi Revival of 1905'. Peter is married to Jane who has served in pastoral ministry and leadership for many years and mentors a number of female Mattersey on-campus students' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

EDWARD ISSITT is part of the Visiting Faculty to Mattersey Hall. He has been in pastoral ministry in UK for over fifteen years and is a Mattersey graduate of their BA and. MA programmes. Edward is currently the director of 'Your Mission',a ministry to mobilise all Christians for the Great Commission and is a member of AOG GB National Mission Team. He currently teaches Church History to First Year Students' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

'RACHEL ISSITT is part of the Visiting Faculty of Mattersey Hall. She is a former Primary School Teacher. Rachel teaches,Introduction to Missions. Since graduating from the MTh programme in 2007,she has co-ordinated and led many mission teams over the years. She is currently Co-director of 'Your Mission',with her husband,Edward. Her first book on Missions was published in 2012' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)

'GRAYSON JONES is a member of the Visiting Faculty and has been involved in senior leadership since graduating from Mattersey Hall in 1993. He is currently the senior Leader of Legacy Church,a large and vibrant Assembly in the centre of Doncaster,UK. He holds a MA in Missional Leadership and teaches Contemporary Prophetic and Apostolic Leadership to third year students' (Mattersey Hall Bible College)
