CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, it's Contemporary-Catholic-Christian, mostly worship. There are some songs that he sings that can be used in any denomination, while there are some that are solely towards Catholicism...Let's see...here's the lyrics to one of his songs on his new CD, "Welcome to Life", the song's called "Void":

Pray for me and i for you...etc. I love that song so much. I sang it in front of my choir class at school.

I have just recently been introduced to MAtt's Music and can say it is absoloutly Fantastic!
I was wondering, Does anyone know MAtt Maher?

I saw Matt at a concert in CA, actually I danced for one of his songs during the concert. He is so cool, and a great singer, good hard core catholic, it was awesome to meet him!

MAtt Maher Sounds better in person for his new CD than he does on record. Matt Came to my church for an XLT. He is Awesome and very Spiriual.

JK! I'm a Life Teener from St. Tims, and I see Matt once or twice a week (I'm also going through confirmation). I think I take our music ministry for granted, like if I happen to go to morning mass with my parents, I can NOT sit inside, because it's filled with little kids, and Tim and Julie Smith. Although I love Tim and Julie and their original music, well I have to sit in the cold outside and be the only teen (or person for that matter) totally getting into Matt's music. I'm thinkin' of joining the music ministry, but I'm too scared to go talk to Matt and audition... HELP ME GOD!
I remember this past August at Steubenville West, all of these girls dressed up in t-shirts that said "WE LOVE MATT MAHER!!!" It was sooo cute! But then again, they don't go to St. Tims. Oh well. Gotta love the touristas! Also, I was volunteering at our coffee cart the first morning Matt's new CD came out. We had the CD blasting, and everyone seemed to go nuts over "Matt Maher's Mocha" (my favorite drink!). The CD sold out... I still haven't gotten mine, but then again, I have the original Matt every Sunday night!
