  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you go to your local Old Navy right now they have them on clearance and they're so cute! I got mine for 14 bucks total compared to $40-50 at an acutal maturnity store. I think you can also find the swimsuits on Old Navy's website as well.

Not the color, but the style of top... which do you think is more modest? The first one? Some of those bottoms do look a little skimpy... I suppose I could try the boy shorts, but I don't think those

Edit:
 Oh and the smallest size they have is XL online in the one that doesn't come as low... they might have some in a store, but its such a long drive. Hmmm.

I'm a small chested woman and even I couldn't find an old Navy top that covered enough. I would get one that stayed put but then if I raised my arms, it showed the bottom of my boobs, others would show WAY too much boobs from the middle or the sides. Which is why I ended up getting a tankini(I guess that's what it's called) is shorts so I feel covered enough but I had to go to walmart as XS was too small and S too big,

Personally I think the first one would better.

if i were pregnant during the summer i would have gotten a bikini, my husband's aunt is pregnant right now, 5 months i believe, and she has a bikini...she looks so cute in it! but since you like something a bit more modest, i like the second maternity top from the Old Navy links you posted.

I don't understand. How would that one show your boobs when you raised your arms, when its a tank? Was it this style? The only one they have in my size is this color: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5822&pid=385793&scid=385793002 which is my least favorite, but that almost always happens with clearance for me.

Crystal, its going to be winter here (very chilly) and so a bikini would be very strange. :p And I plan on doing this until I am 9 months and look like a beached whale. ;)

there's a maternity halter on the 3 page that's really decent, it's 14.95...not too bad compared to the original 28. and how in the world is a pregnant woman supposed to wear those bottoms?! you'd have to have a bikini wax to wear those things...i would just buy a pair of cloth maternity shorts and wear those for bottoms.

Oh, the Old Navy here didn't have tankikis, only bikinis. Sorry I didn't mean to confuse you. :p

Yeah, I like clearence shopping but a lot of the time it leaves you with the patterns you don't like.

Mine is the one that doesn't come as low, it's the brown one with yellow and orange flowers. I personally love that style but I also went back a few days ago and bought the brown v-neck as well and it's cute too. It is lower though so it depends on how modest you are I guess. They're cute! but word of advice, get the smaller size bottoms than you think you would need because they run a bit big but the top is normal size.

I think you'll like it! I have brown hair myself and it looks good with my hair. Brown is always a good color for brunettes!

I'm going to be 9 months in late spring, so I don't know if I'll need a swimsuit... but if I do, I'll buy a bikini. I don't like them (have never owned one) but I'll wear a maternity T-shirt over it or something and I'll definitely only swim in the pool at my parents' place. But at least I won't need anything especially for maternity because all the stores just add on another 20% to the price if they know we'll be pregnant when we buy it!

Okay so the reasons I don't want to wear a bikini are:

Its a pregnancy workout class, and I want people to like me. Or at least not hate me, lol. If I show up wearing a bikini and I look too good, they will be mad at me, and if I have tons and tons of stretch marks I won't want to wear one. So either way I lose. Furthermore it seems weird to wear a bikini in the winter in Illinois where it will snow and all that. If it were the summer and I were just going to the beach, I would consider a bikini but this is a class with pregnant women and women can be really jealous and I don't want to deal with that. Comprendo?
