please pray for my decision to leave the Jehovah's Witness org. It is the hardest thing to do. I know my decision is right but what is tangible (family) and good is making this harder. please pray, I sure do need it

Thank you, I am amazed at the responces here in this christian forums, everyone is so supportive and uplifting.cupbearer said:James, I ask that ..."the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints and His incomparably great power for us who believe."
Eph 1:17-19.
Do you have any Christian friends who can support you while you make this decision?
Thankyou, I did find that I was faced with being relegated to outreach and a non christian area when I was new. This upset me really and I thought about reading the creed and seeing if I could just agree to it in order that I could post elsewhere or even respond to others, but found I would be saying a lie, I am confused and I don't know what I am yet so will leave what I have grown up with for now.The Midge said:I pray that you will find friends and support.
I'm sure that we (at CF) will help as much as we can. But I also pray that you will find a local Church that is right for you so you can get help in person.
Have you though about changing your faith icon? Or getting the Admin to change you name? Then you won't have to lose the RP and blessings you have built up.
God Bless. M.

James, Can we help you with the letter? I have a friend at church who was a JW and she turned her life over to Jesus just over a year ago. She struggled with guilt and shame for a long time. Would it help to have her share with you? I don't know if she has a computer but I think she can get online from the church.JW youth said:Thank you, I am amazed at the responces here in this christian forums, everyone is so supportive and uplifting.
I am preparing studies ready to present to the elders with a resignation letter. This preparation needs to be precise so that I am ready to combat the abilities of elders to 'dance through Scripture' and me have no responces or have those mental blanks about where Scripture is to support my decisions.
I know no one outside of my own Jehovah's Witness friends or family yet except a few funny little nicks here![]()
The help and guidance I am receiving here is helping, so that all this will slot into place when the timing is right.
Thankyou for your prayers all, thank you for those that just encourage me with my focus. I cant express what this means.

You don't have to present your "study" to the elders... they will have an rebuttal from the "pat answer index" that Watchtower gives them..... They've heard it all before.....
Let me throw something back at you...
when JW's go out... do they go alone?
Of course not, they go in pairs... and the Bible says for disciples to go in pairs... If you intend to "battle" instead of just "believe" and "leave"... then you need to have someone with you also...
And I recommend that you call a good- ole' baptist preacher to go with you...
But my better recommendation is not to "battle" at all... but just believe.

I will tell the truth when I am ready to prove it from the only TRUE authority, The Word of God....Emmy said:You had some good and well meaning answers James.Of course we will pray for you,but you will have to do your bit too.Perhaps if you told your Elder that you would like to follow Christ as well as love Jehovah and tell the Lord Jesus how you need His help to become His follower,I am sure you will see your decision to leave J.W.become reality.Shame the devil James and tell the truth of how you really feel. And keep asking and you will be answered. That is the Lord`s promise to us.Your sister in Christ Emmy.
I want to thank for the prayers, I feel like I am on a roller coaster, one day being strong the next feeling weak and scared.Deana said:If God is with you then who can be against you. I will be praying for you. Your courage is an inspiration. I can't wait to see how God uses you.![]()
NIV. Emphasis added. I'll just let you think about it.Jesus Heals a Paralytic
5:18-26 pp;Mt 9:2-8; Mk 2:3-12
Lk 5:17 One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. Lk 5:18 Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. Lk 5:19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
Lk 5:20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." Lk 5:21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, "Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
Lk 5:22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Lk 5:23 Which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Get up and walk? Lk 5:24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. . . ." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home."
Lk 5:25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Lk 5:26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, "We have seen remarkable things today."
