I don't know if it is picked up in Spanish, but that verse is addressed to women in the original Greek. There is some scriptural clues when Paul says: is better to marry than to burn with passion... do you really reach the point of burning with passion if you touch? NO.
Just do it!Okay, so I'm a single mother and I was in a relationship for ten years but that's over now. I never needed to touch before because I was always taken care of in that department but now I'm not. I've heard some people say its a sin and some say it isn't as long as I'm not watching porn or anything like that. I just don't want curses to fall upon me and my kids if I touch. It's just I have no intentions of being with anyone anytime soon so what do I do until then if masturbating is a sin? Please tell me what yal think.
Maybe someone else needed the advice tooThe OP has not been back since January.
This was a drive-by posting.
Yet who can be deceived, save the one who knows that they have the truth and all contrary is false?Self-deception is one heck of a thing.

Hi Becca. I am not sure if anyone tried to answer your questions there in the teen folder, but I know there is a very anti-masturbation presence here on CF.My friends started talking about this last year and I didn't really understand but now I guess I am catching up to them and wanted to talk about it but now they are all shy about it. So it's really confusing meeeeeeee
Imo it is available for singles as well. And I agree with you that the singles need it more. You say that masturbation is God's gift to help people not fall into the sin of fornication, but it's only available for married people, namely the people who need it the least. It is not available for single people because they don't have a spouse to think of during the act of masturbation. One would think that single people would need this gift more than married couples.

You have questions, and I am sure most of the teens do too. But I am not sure they have the experience to really answer you with wisdom.
Would you like to ask here?
The 7th commandment and Matthew 5:27-28. How much clearer can it be explained? There is no command against it.
7th commandment? For that to be true, you need to prove that it is adultery. The 7th commandment and Matthew 5:27-28. How much clearer can it be explained?
Unfortunately, that was made the case as people tried to distort the original meaning. Our Lord was a first century jew. He spoke almost exclusively to first century Jews. There is a certain shared cultural understanding that has been lost in our modern western world. Also I read that there are lots of arguments about if its ok or not and nobody seems to really know.

Masturbation was not much of an issue when people regularly married in their early or mid teens.** But now, when the average age of marriage is in the mid to late 20s, it is a HUGE issue.
** in first century Judea, marriages were arranged by the parents when the couple were age 7-9. At about age 12 or 13 the families would sit down and negotiate a contract of marriage called a Ketuba. It was a legal contract and the couple would be "betrothed." That was was more married than just engaged. After that was signed, the boy would start to build a house under his father's supervision, which would take about a year. After that the couple would move in and consummate the marriage, and then have a party for about a week. So they were married (having sex) at age 13 or 14.
