  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok, we are going to Mass tomorrow, and its Thanksgiving. Is it like the regular Mass? I guess I just kinda want to know what to expect.

Thanks!
Like a normal mass yes :)
It may be the mass for a good harvest or something like that so the readings might focus on land and harvest instead of the normal reading for the 25th.
Some parish will also do a blessing of bread or something like that

Yes, it's a regular Mass.

There may be special requests for non-perishable foods for the offering, which my church does, for the local food bank.

We also have a table set out for people who want to bring a non-perishable dish to be blessed at the end of Mass. We just have to make sure that the dish goes home with the right person and doesn't grow legs and walks away with someone else.
