I was watching it and I noticed that the Fr. advocated indulgences. I have a problem with that.

Last summer, St. John's Cathedral Celebrated it's centenial, and you could get an indulgence for going to the celebration.

That is just a little disturbing, although I really do like mass, I don't agree with what this Fr. is saying right now!

Thats why I didn't even bother to watch. I have EWTN on my cable at home, and being a Lutheran I find myself spending plenty of times getting frustrated at these types of things they do. To save myself the headache and stress, and I just pick up one of Luther's Sermons.

I love my fellow RC's...and wish them well in their walks with Christ. I just can't always agree with them.

May I suggest that those who are having difficulties look up the modern use of indulgences; it's not the same thing that Martin Luther encountered. I don't think the practice is inherently evil, but anything can be abused.
