Who's played it?Who's playing it? Thoughts? Comments? Disappointments? The like. Post here!

Personally think it's pretty interesting. Controls are different from everything else out there so takes a bit to get used to I think. Ah well. Not very far in but story seems great (love the dynamic loading screens!)

I'm not playing it, but my "boss" is (he runs a Christian game review site and I write for him).

From what I understand, it's a great story and interesting gameplay, except there's lots of technical issues (controls, etc.). Probably a 4 (out of 5) star game.

Me, I'm just using his 360 to play Stranglehold, TimeShift, and AZN's Creed.

I got Mass Effect for christmas. And I'm in love. This is easily my game of the year. The history, the world/universe, the technologies and complexities have completely sucked me in. I even like the combat, a common complain against this game. I hope they make a sequel!

They intend to. I think this was supposed to be a trilogy ala Gears of War.

Just wait till you play it through a second time. The story really seems new and fresh with different decisions, who you take with you, when you do things, so many variables.

And if you're going for Achievements, have fun, cause it'll take at minimum 3 full play-throughs. I've got 4 and a partial lined up for me, but nearly through with run number 2.

I got this game a bit ago but I've only put 15 minutes into it so far. It seems sweet and I will definitely be putting more hours into it.
Well if ya get stuck, I've been through twice so can lend a helping hand if needed.

You know - I'm not really a fan of sci-fi. I was wary about this game. But the more I play, the more I'm enthralled with this masterpiece. I absolutely love it. And it's so refreshing to play a deep game with music that adds so much to the setting. This one is definitely a contender for my favorite game of all time. I really like it that much.

Music... like the elevator tunes on the Citadel? I want a ringtone for my cell of that! Already have the rhumba-ish song from Portal, so want this too!

Oh, you might like the song which plays through the credits of Mass Effect. Pretty nifty.

I got assassin's creed for Christmas, so it might be a while before I get around to Mass Effect :p
I managed to get through it in a week, just had to skip the side-missions for the last two or three quests. And that was with dealing with glitches in one of the last levels. So you'll be going to Mass Effect soonish ;)

I've been playing the game a lot lately. I finally beat it today. Mass Effect has one of the deepest and best storylines that I have ever seen in a game. It is an absolutely phenomenal game and literally one of the best games I have ever played. My only disappointment is the sex scene in the game. Not only is it not necessary, but it's pretty cheap and laughable. Other than that, the game is simply amazing.

Finished today as a very strictly Paragon Adept. My last save file had a playtime of 45 hours on it. Not bad in this day and age of pathetically short games. I finished every side quest I could possibly find, and I'm sure I missed some out there, so I'll get those next time. I also had it on 'veteran' difficulty, and it was still far too easy. I explored every nook and cranny and made sure to talk to everyone as much as possible to get as much history and story as possible.

There were some flaws with the game. I didn't care for the sidequest planets with the Mako. Way too many reused level sets, ie each underground lair looked the exact same. I didn't care for the inventory management.

That out of the way, I can say that hands down this is now my favorite game ever. The production values are so fantastic, and I've never been so sucked into a story before. I've also never found myself caring so much for the main character before. I wish some of the party members backgrounds were fleshed out a bit better. But wow - what a fantastic acheivement this game is. It has set a very high bar. Simply amazing. Now to play through on Insanity as a brute Renegade!

It is one of the best sci-fi rpg games made. I loved every part of it. Bioware did an excellent job of creating a world that was truly immersive and just downright amazing.

It helped that themes were taken from Halo. ;)
Sorry, I might have my head in the sand, but what themes were those?

...oh, giant works of technology being left behind by an ancient race that disappeared mysteriously? Big difference is that ..... oh shoot, almost let out a spoiler! Silly me!
