  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i found a quite interesting site from a guy who was an ex-mason (quite high up in the organisation) and he came to know Jesus and got out of it.
im not sure if the sites "non-sketchy" (like av1611.org is not, for example) but i havent seen anything to suggest it would be (unlike av1611.org, for example) if you get what i mean!

here's the link

goto the testimony section and the one ive read is "Masonary, my Saviour and me" (very interesting testimony from the guy) and i also read the section on "Death, Burial and Resurrection in the Masonic Lodge" which is about an extremely sketchy ceremony for masons to enter one of the highest levels and its basically a baptism into the religion of freemasonary. very interesting stuff and makes you see why christians should avoid freemasonary like the plague!

btw, in the masons blood oaths have to be taken to progress up the organisation which is in direct opposition to the word of God (cant think of bible verse but i know its definately in there somewhere - new testament i think). yet another reason to avoid it!

Steverock,

The person you are referring to is a very dear friend of mine. You can actually listen to an audio version of "Death, Burial and Resurrection in the Masonic Lodge" at:

http://www.ephesians5-11.org/audio/dbr.ram

Also, you can read my Masonic Testimony at:

Meanwhile I look forward to returning here to answer any questions folks may have.

Sincerely in Christ,

Hi!

Years ago I was witnessing to this guy about Jesus Christ and he handed me a tape and said he did not trust any organized church, etc..

I took it home and listened and it was astonishing. The man in the tape was Joun Todd and he was involved in a witchcraft family. And he said that some of the heads around the world were also involved.

Then he did a list of groups with their roots in this and the masons were on the list. I do recall asking a mason why they had a rams head on their hat. I got no answer, but later they told me they also went by "mystic prophets of the enchanted realm."

Here is the quote
(QUESTION: WHAT DOES WITCHCRAFT HAVE TO DO WITH THE MASONS?) Well, other than the 33 highest Masons who are on the Council of 33, most Masons do not realize that they have taken the same rites that makes a person & witch. They have taken the same rites to become a Mason, except that we cut our wrists & they don't cut their wrists, that's the only differences!

IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME. I could lay a drawing of our temple down, your temple is laid out the same. I can describe our Witchcraft rites, yours are exactly the same. We've been doing it for 8000 years--what's your excuse?
I have since just not really thought about it -- until this thread popped up.

So I pulled this off the net -- It is an exact transcript of the tape I heard in 1979 -- You have to scroll past some stuff in a weird long yellow square to get to the story...

Good Morning All,

Fremasonary is not Christian, very secretive and IMO a cult. I have a Christian friend who was involved at a high level. Praise God he is now free. We live in a part of the UK where their influence is very strong.

The organisation started off as christian, and in recent times has tried to create the illusion of being "open". In 1992, in a blaze of publicity, it open it's door at Earl's Court. However, the internal meetings are still "closed"

Is it compatible with Christianity?

IMHO, no.

1) The oaths taken are shown in Scripture to be wrong.. (Mat 5:34,37 Jam5:12)
More than that, the put the candidate under fear & bondage, Christ always sets us free. (Mat 11:28 & Rom 8:1cf)

2) It is selective, where the Gosple of Jesus is open to all people, eveywhere.

3) Nothing secretive about the gosple, in fact we are encouraged to walk in the light and be totally open. (Eph 5:8-14 & John 1:5-7)

Will post more later.

Remember, if a person wants to leave the masons, he faces all kinds of persecutions and problems. We need to build a bridge of love and support and if he is a christian, show them the incompatabilities.

Please don't get involved yourselves.

We have many mason familys in my church and personally i despise thier affiliation with this cult. They try to live Christian and mason lives but all they are doing is offering the devil opportunities to further wound the body of Christ. IMO freemasonry is inspired by the devil in order to offer a soft addition to christianity. however as many people have pointed out freemasonry is no soft thing the vows and curses are deadly real and can easily strike fear into most people's hearts.

I have just heard about the freemasons for the first time from my mates. I came home tonite and i started researching them. as i was reasearching, my mum told me the my pop (dads dad) is one of the head masons of the state of victoria in Australia. Anyway the iformation that i got by myself and from my mates told me that the freemasons control the governments of the world, therefore controling the world. the highest people of the freemasons would be the most powerful ppl in the world, such as bill gates or ppl like that. Here is a list of some of the powerful ppl of the masons.

Sir John J.C. Abbott - Canadian politician who served as Prime Minister (1891-1892).
Robert Anderson - Major General U.S. Army who was in command of Fort Sumter at time of Confederate attack. Known as "Hero Of Fort Sumter."
Winston Churchill - British politician and writer. Prime Minister (1940-1945 and 1951-1955). His inspiration is often credited with helping Britain survive under the onslaught of Hitler's evil.

Well i think you get my point. they are certainly not a christian orientated organisation,
and something not to b proud of.
