John 8:31...Miss Shelby said:Where does the Bible say that the Bible is the ONLY authority?
I know you can provide Scripture that says ALL Scripture is inspired. But I've yet to see anything that says ONLY Scripture is inspired.

You have got to be kidding!LogicalFallacy said:So we can all have our own beliefs regardless of what the Bible says, we can just say we are extra-biblical. What an interesting loop-hole! (Think i'll stick with God thankyou!)
It was this statement that led me to believe you were protestant. There is no need to try to prove to me a biblical definition for Sola Scriptura if you don't believe in it?LogicalFallacy said:So we can all have our own beliefs regardless of what the Bible says, we can just say we are extra-biblical. Hi there! It's not a new belief. Been around even before the Bible. Didn't you read what ukok posted?LogicalFallacy said:Hi,
I think something like a new teaching about mary would require more than a human 'pass on' tradition, you would need to make it part of the Bible canon.
I not sure how to read you reply;Miss Shelby said:Hi there! It's not a new belief. Been around even before the Bible. Didn't you read what ukok posted? How would a new belief get into the Bible anyways, unless we made up another version?

So Mary was here before the Bible was written? Are you sure? It's not a new belief. Been around even before the Bible.
So you admit, you would have to re-write the Bible to make Mary anymore than a normal human person. How would a new belief get into the Bible anyways, unless we made up another version?
I love the way you highlight "alter doctrine" as if it's altering the Bible. LOL.ukok said:The WTS alter doctrine and claim the light is getting brighter...
Huh!!!Miss Shelby said:Logicalfallacy,
It's been very nice talking to you. Bye bye.

I wanted to clarify that the WTS have indeed been known to alter doctrine (completely, as opposed to adding to it), not just expand upon what is already in their own Tradition of beliefs...in fact, let's be honest here..they have altered doctrine that they originally held and then at a later date altered it back again...hence, claiming that the light is getting brighter, doesn't really work with that does it...if the light got brighter and involved doctrine being changed for the first time, did the Holy Spirit not guide the WTS in the Truth in the first place?LogicalFallacy said:I love the way you highlight "alter doctrine" as if it's altering the Bible. Can you defend the false teaching of Mary, and why do you resort to smoke and mirrors.ukok said:I wanted to clarify that the WTS have indeed been known to alter doctrine (completely, as opposed to adding to it), not just expand upon what is already in their own Tradition of beliefs...in fact, let's be honest here..they have altered doctrine that they originally held and then at a later date altered it back again...hence, claiming that the light is getting brighter, doesn't really work with that does it...if the light got brighter and involved doctrine being changed for the first time, did the Holy Spirit not guide the WTS in the Truth in the first place?
If it did, why would it have the WTS reverse doctrine that the Holy Spirit had already led the WTS to change...does the Holy Spirit get confused? Or could it be the WTS is not being led by the Holy Spirit at all?
Ok, back to the point in question; what makes you think that Mary is superhuman?ukok said:LF,
