I have busy little bee, this weekend...getting the rest of the garden in...:yum: Can't wait...till the harvest. Think I got too much sun though...I am getting kinda pinkie..
What'cha growing Pam??
I moved recently to this new
neighborhood, and I don't think
my family is going to let me
make a garden, so I will just
enjoy yours with you. Did you
plant sweet peppers? that's the
main thing lol.

Hey, I made that dish this weekend.
Man was that tasty.
You may want to cut the recipe, if you
ever try it because I have a big family.

Two boxes of angelhair pasta, cooked
8 or so chopped grilled chicken breasts.
About 4 of the good sized
cans of italian style diced tomatos.
1 bulb freshly chopped garlic.
A generous amount of italian spices.
More italian spices ;)
Fennel seed, sprinkled throughout so
that you get a bit of that zing in every
bite or so.
A lot of pepper for taste
Some Kosher or sea salt
And Generous with the EVOO
so that it's nice and tender and
melts in your mouth, mmm

I put out grated italian cheese, and
serve it with maybe fresh green
beens with kosher salt and garlic
powder, garlic bread etc.

This is some serious italian good eats!
:D

I'm Quijote.

I'm originally from Mexico City, went to HS and college in the Great State of TExas (that's "God's Country" for youunfortunate souls who don't live there ;) ) and now reside in Wisconsin ( :( ) with my wife and four kids (three boisterous boys and a silly little girl).

I was a stay-at-home dad from 2001 through January of 2007 when I went back to work. My field is Human Resources and right now I work at a meat packing plant where we 'process' about 2,200 heads of cattle every day (except SUndays). By 'process' I mean that the cows walk in the plant on their feet and leave in boxes! (that's right folks, meat doesn't grow on trees!!! ^_^ )

Right now the wife and I are trying to make major changes in our family's lives. Since I've gone back to work, my wife would like to stay home with the kids. Being that Wisconsin is the tax hell that it is, we're thinking of going back to God's Country (see above). So I'm looking for jobs in Harlingen, TX (Near the Mexican border where my folks and brothers live) or around Dallas (where we have many friends from college).

I like to read, watch movies (when I get the chance) and watch sports on tv. I'll eat anything but eggs. Right now, our family is on a "Narnia Fix": I've read the first three books to the boys, we have all the books on CD (which the boys have listened to several times); we have the LTW&TW movie, and recently purchased the BBC's Prince Caspian/The Silver Chair/The Voyage of the Dawn Trader on DVD.

Well since all the guys are waiting for a sacrificial lamb here I go.

I live in Houston, Texas and have been married to my soul mate for 28 years. We have 2 grown kids which have given us 4 wonderful grandchildren I love to spend time with them. My daughter went through a divorce 2 years ago, so she and 3 of my grandchildren, all girls, live with us until my duaghter can get back on her feet. I feel sorry to see her go through that mess but, from a selfish standpoint, love to have the grandkids with me. The only "problem" is that makes me the only male in my household. I guess I will have to get used to the "toilet seat" debate.:D
I own my own business and just returned to college to get a M.Th. which hopefully and with God's guidance I'll follow up with a doctorate in theology. I don't want to be a pastor, but would like to teach theology at a college level when I retire.

Now, I hope some of those "yellow" guys will follow my lead.;)

God Bless

I lived in Houston for two years!!!! That's one awesome city!

We were lucky because the wife and I (no kids at the time) lived down by Stella LInk and Breeswood so we never had to deal w/traffic (I worked at a nearby HS and she went to school nearby).

Excellent!
Sounds like a huge garden.
I think you need a cup of coffee
and a break lol.
My neighbor used to call mine
the 'freedom' garden.
Blackeyed peas?? hmmmm

We don't have those up here, I'm
thinking.

The city is still growing and so is the traffic  I have lived in SW Houston much of my life and worked at Compaq in the NW side of Houston so my commute was tiresome. I own a business now so I work from Home which is a definite blessing. I don't have to mess with the traffic.
If you come visit, send me a PM. I would love to meet you and your family. :)

There a staple of the south, down here....served with butter dripping cornbread on the side....:yum: They are a smallish pea, and they look like they have a blackeye..lol, thus the name.

I used to live in the Gulton/Chimmeyrock area, for about 5 years....my husband commuted by bus everyday, to Stephen F. Austin, where he taught.

We loved living in Houston, but don't miss the crime or traffic.

Maybe if you didn't wear green all the
