Birth and infancy of Christ. Matthew 1,2 Luke 1:26-2:40

Jesus left in Jerusalem at age 12. Luke 2:41-51

Marriage feast and Cana. John 2:12

Short visit to Capernaum. John 2:12

Mary and Jesus' brothers come to Capernaum.
Matthew 12:46-50 Mark 3:20-35 Luke 8:19-21
Doubters question Jesus' origin. Matthew 13:55-56
Mark 6:3-4 John 6:42
Crucifixion of Jesus. John 19:25-27

Prayer after the ascension of Christ. Acts 1:14

References by Paul. Romans 1:3 Galatians 4:4

These are all that Mary is talked about in the scriptures. How did she get from here to what some believe of her now?

Tradition.

Yep. Tradition played a large part. :) And Tradition is very important.

The Bible even commands us to hold to Traditions.

[BIBLE]2 Thessalonians 2:15[/BIBLE]

Also, there is a difference between Tradition and tradition. Tradition is part of the deposit of the faith and is good for doctrine and such. While traditions are things like having a pot luck dinner every 4th Sunday.

Mans teaching. Tradition. Funny thing about tradtion it sure changes alot. Can't find any thing about Mary in tradtions until 300 AD. Alot just coming forth around 1850. Testing it to scripture shows it can't be found. Tradtion and scripture will equal each other. This just blows scripture right out the door. Paul never spoke of her. Peter never spoke of her John doesn't speak of her..

Some traditions do change a lot.

But Traditions are different because they are from Jesus. When God gives us a Tradition you will see very little in the way of change.

Take even the early writings of what the Church was doing the first few hundred years and you will find they celebrate the Eucharist almost exactly as we do today.

If one were to really consider the 2,000 years of the Church and that Traditions are basically unchanged then one would have to be more than a little amazed.

Mans teaching. Tradition.

Tradition is not man's teaching, but we could argue for days on that. As already said:

I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.
1 Cor 11:2

So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.
2 Thess 2:15

So Tradition is Scriptural and every Tradition will not be in Scripture to point out. Scripture says so. So how does God preserve it?

What we see around the year 300 is not the Traditions of Mary being formed. But the Traditions that are already established being written about and defended.

But with that they are not written about by the very men that Jesus walked daily with and ate with. So therefore they came after Christ had called His chosen to be the Apostles. The traditions that are spoken about in the bible are easy to see in Paul. He had one tradtions. To know Christ and what scripture meant. I don't see where God has ever called tradtions infallable. or inspired. Scripture does not speak of tradtion to guide us correct us or equip us. He does though of Scripture.

Did Paul know Jesus on Earth in man form???

Traditions are meant to be kept and they have been kept. They have been safeguarded and many people have died in the Catholic Church to preserve not only Traditions but the books we all call the New testament.

Awe and many a protestant were burned at the stake for truth's sake. No where in scripture is tradtion spoken of as Inspired by God. The scriptures are though. Tradtion when conflicting against scripture is not something I am willing to believe. For Gods word is God breathed..

1 Cor. 15:
7then He appeared toJames, then to all the apostles;
8and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. 9For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Saul was also present at the cross!

...It's all in the Book, everything we need for faith morals and salvation anything more than what's in the bible is man-made!

I did not know that.

I thought Paul did not become Christian until after he was blinded and I did not know Paul knew Jesus before this time.

Is there some scripture or tradition for this???

Isn't 1 Corinthians 15 speaking of when Saul was blinded and Jesus spoke to him?

That is why I said "man form" (not the best description but I had just woke up).

I did not know Paul had known Jesus from when he was on the Cross.

I know Jesus blinded Paul when he asked "why do you persecute me" but that was not with Jesus in body (or man form-LOL).

Is there something I am missing???

FYI - This the what I was talking about above.

Acts
9:4. And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

If I'm not mistaken he had something to do with Jesus' garments I am looking for an answer right now.
But yes paul on atleast 1 or 2 occasions states something similar to "have I not witnessed the resurrected lord?" True it blinded him maybe from the brightness of his purity? But it was certainly Jesus and not just a vision. I'll find scriptures on this... It is interesting stuff.

Who cares about the seat of Moses. Christ sits on the throne to the one we are Born of God. For Christ is the head of His church. This is written about in scripture everywhere. He is seated on the throne of His kingdom and us being His people are seated there with Him. This is also written in scripture.
