Can you name any martyrs beginning with St. James?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There was a book put out by DC Talk (contemporary christian band) called "Jesus Freak". I hope I got the title correct...I'm just thinking this off the top of my head. Anyway, it has many stories in there about martyrs. Some are quite inspirational in the fact that these people faced death in the face and never denied Christ and still spread the gospel when given the chance.
Sorry...I know this was not answering the OP, but just had to mention this book for anybody interested...

the apostle James the major beheaded in Jerusalem, AD 44
Matthew the evangelist pinned to the ground and beheaded in Naddayar, Ethiopia, AD 60
The apostle Andrew crucified at Patras in Achaia, around the year 70
Thomas, tortured by the natives in Calamina, thrown into an oven, and stuck through with spears, AD 70
Jim Elliot, with 4 other missionaries, willingly speared to death by Aucas, also called Waudoni in Ecuador in 1950s, their widows forgave and went on to teach some of the killers who converted to Christianity, power of God's love and forgiveness and taking up the cross.
