CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Great video. When I was looking for someone most women I met had this fantasy that marriage was like in the movies. You find this perfect man, you get married and you spend forever being happy. It was so unrealistic. And oddly enough they called me unrealistic for stating this is real life, not a movie. >.>
Its why I never wanted someone who watches a fantasy romance movie and thinks its how it will be because as the video states thats not what you will get. It takes alot more then just saying "I love you" every day for the marriage to work. Its hard work. Which is why it was critical whoever I was with had to understand there will be disagreements, there will be hard times, there will be times when we wonder we got ourselves into.
I'm so glad I am marrying at 31 then when I was younger and to nieve to realize all this stuff. Now I must go share this video!

Yes, this is my church. They tend to use all kinds of music...especially loud rock music. However, I kind of like how they uses the popular music to show the attitudes of society and then play off of them. It is a different type of church...they claim they are the church for those who don't like church. However, I have yet to see them compromise on "truth" or skip the meat of The Word. This is a six week series...you can go to Kensington Streaming - Kensington Church for more lessons...the series isn't over yet so they will keep adding them.

I've been avoiding church because of this series. I finally accepted that I don't want to skip church for 8 weeks...so I went today. The pastors are being so open and transparent ... and they are also so "right" about what marriage is and what it isn't. I cried all the way through today's lesson because I miss being in that kind of relationship. I'm not sure what to do because I felt worse after going to church today...even though I know I'm supposed to be there. I am just believing that maybe God is preparing me for something in my future and sitting through these lessons are part of my preparation. I am working on catching up with the sermons that I missed.
Top it off, my new "friend" didn't call today even though I thought we were suppose to meet up for a bit. I'm assuming that something with his kid came up. It isn't life shattering but it didn't help my mood any.

I too, like it especially when pastors are open and honest about being human instead of pretending they are holier than thou. I posted the link on FB for my daughter and she watched it and liked it, but said it was incredibly slow to download for her.
