It occurred to me that maybe I only answered half your question really. 'For the time will come...', I may not have made it clear. It's clear to me but it has to deal with events in the world and what's happening in the Churches today. If you show some folks what God's Word says about an issue and they don't like it, you will be labeled as intolerant, unloving, ect. Love everybody and don't look or even mention the sin in their lives because then your not being tolerant. And we wouldn't want to upset anybody with the Truth of God's Word!
One day, it may occur that everybody won't care anymore. They will be so desensitized to sin, that good will be called evil and evil called good...
I can see that for non-believers. If they don't want to hear the truth or gospel message, so be it. They have made their own choice. But for Christians, we should be watching out for each other so we are not taken in the devils snares. But that is being intolerant! In Paul's day, the stuff that goes on in some Christians Churches today would be stopped.
1Co 5:1-5 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Commonly fornication. Geee and they let it go on. But Paul told the church that they should deliver one that doe's that to Satan. But today I suppose that would be mean and intolerant. Not a loving thing to do.

Those that are turned unto fables first turn away their ears from the truth, for they cannot hear and mind both, any more than they can serve two masters. Nay, further, it is said, They shall be turned unto fables. God justly suffers those to turn to fables who grow weary of the truth, and gives them up to be led aside from the truth by fables.
