By refering to them as the tools of Satan, it's probably more of an exageration. It can open up temptation and cause some one to inadvertantly become greedy. Plus the credit card companies can practically rip you off with all sorts of fees. They're easier to steal (especially if you're in the business that frequently take CC numbers) and fraudulently use.

While most of us certainly do not plan on having our CC info stolen when taking family to dinner at the Olive Garden or buying that perfect gift, Satan could tempt who ever is taking the information, into recording your information for later use. I have even heard of individuals exploiting the "new technology" and stealing CC information while parked out front of places like Best Buy. Stores like that use wireless technology for all their transactions within the store.

How does a cash-less society = Anti-christs goverment? I fail to see the connection. Granted, both will have to have a cetain thing to buy/sell, but just because they did 'chip implants' in the Left Behind series doesn't mean its really going to be that way. The bible just says that there will be a MARK. Normall marks are visable for everyone to see. How will a chip be visable for everyone to see?

Because the Anti-christ will create a one world government probably through the U.N. and create a cashless world. We people think it will be through the micro chip implants because they will be easy to use to make the world go cashless. They could simply place it into the right hand and when ever you're at the store they could simply have you slide your hand across something. Also with the help of a gps they could use the excuse of, 'Oh, if you get kidnapped we can find you.' and that it would just make everything easier and better in different ways. It all makes sense. What else could that. That's why it makes sense that the micro chip implnants would work so well.

Is anyone else noticing an ignoring of half of the passage? "If anyone worships the beast and his image and..." I'm not worshipping anything that isn't God. Just taking the mark isn't going to send you to hell, its by making a concious decision to follow this "beast" instead of God.

Also, if you're going to be this literal about it all, what about all the other stuff that has to happen in revelation first, that hasn't happened yet? Where does that come into it?

yes, I will, God will take me home before that happens. Didn't say I didn't believe in it, I just don't think this is "it". kwim? No one knows when this will happen and it's hiliarious to me that people are still trying to figure it out. Why can't people just do as God commands and quit worrying about things to come? If I do what in my heart what I know is right, if I do what God commands of me - then I need not be afraid or concern myself with the the Coming of Christ. See where I'm going with this?

Want to see where I'm going with this? Christians need to be aware not to get this if they want to get to Heaven? Get the picture? We need to be concerned and know what the heck is going on!

Your medical records aren't even private anymore. If the gov wants to know something about you it's just a matter of keystrokes before they know it.

We're already taking steps toward a world currency.

We've been fulfilling prophesies for years but recently it's been at a faster rate. Look at the advances in the last 10 years. The stage is being set and it's being set quickly.

This site, although factually sound in it's reporting, is a pretty radical right biased site. They are doomsayers for the most part and try to prove that this chip is definitly the mark of the beast, no two ways about it. The Bible says nothing about any kind of implant or ID system. It's pretty vague as to what the mark is. I think this kind of speculation is borne from hysterical people to produce hysteria.

However, I still wouldn't get an implant...just in case.

The end-times prophecies are not well understood. There is much dissagreement even among people who are strong in their faith.

There cannot be a world government coup. Any world power is going to have to work through the existing superstructure, and such changes are incremental. Many world changing events are only reported on page 14. We are not going to see a guy in a red suit with a pointed tail and horns, telling people to line up for their chip implants.

So, what are we to do? We should learn and understand the principals. We should practice God's will. When the dentist wants your ssn, please, at least ask him WHY. Let it be known that you do not like all your personal information stored in computers, keyed to a government issued number. Let the merchants and politicians know that you are aware of their nefarious schemes to number us all.
