This story is a favourite of just about every cult leader and Christian conspiracy theories I've heard for years.

Back in the 90's, I was preached to endless times of how this microchip thing was going to happen shortly and how the barcode was proof of it. I was told the worldwide government was coming shortly and was given names of the possible antichrists. None of it happened as was predicted ("prophesied") and some of those antichrists are now dead, while others are too old to be of any significance (and no one cares about them anymore). I personally told people who didn't believe this nonsense that they were like people in Noah's day.

Best thing I did was got off that train eventually and realised that the Christian faith had life to give me, not endless fears about the one-world government and a dystopian future.

Some latest conspiracy theory is just not comparable to what Noah had to deal with. Comparing this kind of "persecution" to Noah is unfathomable.

The Mark of the Beast is not literal. Any more than the Mark of God in the foreheads of believers. It's placing Man's Laws above God's Laws while living in totalitarianism. 666 = man's number. 777 = God's number.

I don't think it will be subtle at all. How many times do we see posts by people worried they have accidentally committed the unforgivable sin, the same way you don't accidentally fall into that, I don't think people will just accidentally take this mark. That would not be fair or just and God is both of those. I think it will be quite clear because it involves worship, not just a mark or chip.

When Obama instituted SSM laws, Christian businesses could not buy or sell unless they received the symbolic Mark and gave in. Those who embraced the laws received the Mark. This has happened all throughout history.

Are they making microchips that can go into your hand? Sure. It's been a working idea for quite awhile.

Does it represent the mark of the beast? Speculative. But why would it? I think hardly likely. A microchip cannot decide for me who I worship. Furthermore, I doubt the whole world will be interested in having a microchip in their hands.

This conspiracy theory about microchips and the one world government etc. that's been going since the late 70's is based more on a very American libertarian paranoia around government control than the Bible. Cashless is not a bad thing. In Africa, having cash on you can be dangerous in the informal settlements. Cashless solutions have actually saved lives, and some of these solutions have helped to make financial inclusion a reality (see mobile money). Government control, I can appreciate is a bad idea, but the tug-of-war between governments and citizens has always been a thing. Technology can also bring safety with it. They could replace every limb in my body and could not stop me from worshipping Jesus. I don't see how a microchip means anything to my worship of Jesus, or anyone else's.

Revelation 13:18 says that the number is the number of a man - my interlinear Greek NT says a man's number - NOT the number of a piece of software or a machine.
Read the whole chapter; the 2nd beast came from out of the earth, had two horns but spoke like a dragon. It made everyone worship the first beast and performed miraculous signs, causing fire to come from heaven. Those who refused to worship the first beast - which would surely include Christians - were killed.

The mark that the 2nd beast makes everyone receive is the name of the beast, or the number of his name, Revelation 13:17.
But who says that there will be any Christians left at that point; if they have been killed for refusing to worship the 1st beast?

And who says that this mark will be a microchip, just because some piece of sopftware somewhere has 060606 on it?

The number of the beast in Revelation is given as 666, which you say is a microchip, since the number 060606 has been found on some programme/piece of software somewhere. The characteristics, and acts, of the beast are clearly described in Revelation 13, and personally I can't see how a microchip will be able to perform signs and call down fire from heaven at all. Now you say that it is lined to a vaccine for Corona virus? On what evidence?

If someone refused to be vaccinated against a potentially dangerous virus and I was in an at risk group, I wouldn't want to be around them either. If there is a vaccine against Corona, or any other potentially deadly, virus, you could have a vaccination but don't, get the disease and pass it onto someone else who then dies, that is irresponsible, if not criminal.

Seriously? Have you read the bible? This is not speculation. It's coming. It may not be mandatory yet.. but it will be.

I do believe that this virus has just moved the clock ahead decades in preparing people for mandatory implanting of chips in conjunction with vaccines.

Will the first one be the "Mark of the beast"? IDK... but are you going to take that chance?

I'm pretty sure that the actual mark will be obviously connected to the worshipping of the beats. It will be three fold:

1/ to buy and sell, hold all your information, track your movement, medical, financial data.
2/ vaccinate you from some assumed pandemic
3/ change your DNA and give the pseudo immortality that man has wanted since Adam and Eve were told that eating the fruit would make them like God and they "would not surely die".
Also, those in the tribulation will call out for death but it will not come.
4/ The mark will mark you with the beast's mark as "his" mark and as worship and fealty to him. Just as we are marked as Children of God.

Enough Christians are "awake" enough and have their eyes open to what is coming... that they will not take this vaccination.
