Mark Lowry - is he a striaght Baptist?

Ive heard of Mark Lowry and hear a lot about him and how he's great and all, but I don't know if hes a straight Baptist and doesn't have the wrong influence and association, does anyone know?

I saw him once.

He looks pretty straight-forward to me.

I did once hear someone (on CF I think...) make claims about Mark's theology and that it denied one or more essential doctrines of Christianity. No proof was presented for this and none was produced when asked......

I don't even know who Mark Lowry is.

Mark, as far as I know, is an independent Baptist. The fact that he consorts with known Arminians (Mr. Gaither), I doubt really influences his theology. His mother was a professor at Liberty U.
