Marilyn Manson

Personally, I like Marilyn Manson's music. My parents think he's weird but they don't mind me listening to Marilyn Manson; they like listening to him as well. Marilyn Manson is my boyfriend's favorite band of all time, and Marilyn Manson is well loved among my friends. To us, the band is great.

Anyone here listen to his music? Does anyone here agree that one can distinguish between listening to music that comes from a non-christian background vs supporting it's ideology. For example, I feel MM makes some very interesting points in some of his songs, although in others he says blasphemous things.

Well no. I stay away from mainstream metal. But I do understand about separating content content of lyrics with good music. I listen to bands like King Diamond, Death, Dimmu Borgir, etc. who carry negative lyrics (at least to us christians). What they are saying escapes my ear, but the music is just awsome.

mm is quite an interesting person and i find him quite smart, but nothing he says and does that ppl see of him is true... hes a mind player, he uses the media to get to ppl to make ppl mad

nice death and black metal selection, but dimmu borgir is mainstream black metal along with cradle of filth and marduk

The guy sucks, stay away from him. He may sound good but what he's coming out with is nothing to play around with and you can't just say that you like the way the band sounds. They may have a great sound but their lyrics are awfull and he's against God in many ways.
