Your points were clearly designed to make my position seem completely unreasonable.Look,Pot has been illegal in this country for around 60 years.60 years. Somehow we've managed to survive as a nation without legal pot.I will agree that the malaise of drug sales and interdiction have caused a great burdon on society.However it's not due to supply but use.If I choose to smoke a joint. Who did that? It was me wasn't it.I chose to smoke. I could also choose not to.Things are bad, but believe me nothing is ever so bad that it can't get worse.Legalising pot isn't going to cure the ills brought on by drug use. It will cause a boom in use. And it will throw down the gauntlet to legalising all drugs. Boy we'll have it made when that happens.But it isn't going to happen. Pot won't be legal. I can live with that.I'm pretty shure you can too.

That's a perfect example of why I feel this is a subject for some other forum. Kids come in here and see us Christians and even the president smokin dope. For a ex or even current user,seeing your kids come home loaded is not a pleasent experience. Especially when you know what the possibilities are.

Any child who is old enough to read, and have access to the internet or a televison or radio, can find out what our president does.


Nobody here in this forum has any secret information about our presidents that is not available everywhere else.

Numerous public leaders have admitted to smoking marijuana, like President Clinton, Vice President Gore, Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, etc. etc.

Lets say I feel that smoking marijuana brings me closer to God, whose law should govern? Man's law, poorly thought out, which is only used to put poor folks in jail? Or God's law, which I might experience better by putting one of God's sacred creations to the use for which it obviously was intended!!
