Marching Band

I play the trumpet, and I love it. I am a huge band geek. With that said, I was looking at some marching band music, thinking ahead for next year, throw some wink winks at my band director, etc. And I came across this. Tell me what you guys think (if you know anything about music....). I like it, but i think the second song might be a little bit too difficult for some of the trumpets in my band. I dont know, obviously i could work with them on it, but still...Besides that, i love it. What do you guys think?

I'm in band and I love it so much! I'm a flag person and I play the clarinet in concert band.

You'd have to have a pretty tight brass section to pull off that second song without having your timing all over the place. It depends on how disciplined your band program is (I was in one for several years and have played trumpet, so I do know). It's hard to say having never heard your band and not knowing about the program.

We have some really great trombones..and we have like 3 really good trumpets. So...we cant carry them all, so i agree with you there. It's a scary idea.

Our homecoming game is tomorrow and it's snowing. And to make things worse the team's fan's that we're playing is known to yell and throw stuff at the band. Maybe all the snow will drive them away.

Anyways, have fun at homecoming. I know it sucks that its all of a sudden snowing. We have a competition tomorrow. And had band practice during the "storm" of snow yesterdat. So yeah..
