Man vs. Wild

Man vs. Wild is one of my favorite shows! so, anyways..

My brother first brought this up.. and it got me thinking

Bear Grylls must make a ton of.. animal activists? I don't know what to call them, but.. he must make people like that mad all the time

He's constantly killing things and i'm not talking about bugs, but larger animals.

The episode that I remember most is when he trapped a reindeer (I think that's what it was) and he slit its throat open, then proceded to drink the blood as it poured out.

I personally don't have any sort of problem with this.. but I imagine other people do




Is anyone here, or do you know anyone who is, against the show because he kills animals? just some thoughts

What do people think our ancestors did for food and clothing back in the old days? Certain animals were created for certain reasons, and when Bear Grylls kills them for food for survival, I see no problem with it.

Neither do I, but I could see groups like PETA having a problem with it.

yea, if PETA had issue w/ pres obama killing a fly...then they would for sure have issue w/ bear grylls.

he is showing how to survive in the wilderness...i have no prob either.

I like the show. I think he's doing what he has to do.

I go with Bear Grylls as all Les Stroud has to do is survive 7 days. When you are in the wilderness, you have to search for survival to stay alive. Barely moving and knowing you will be rescued is a security blanket that you typically don't have when lost. Just my opinion.

Actually, I have no problem with the show. I know he's not really gonna be putting his life on the line and he has some decent information... and it's entertaining. I just thought the video was funny

I don't have a problem with Bear Grylls.
It's always a hoot watching him. I remember when he killed the wild boar.

Did anyone see the one where he was with Will Farrel? It was awesome. I suppose as long as the animal isn't endangered it should be okay.

I love Bear Grylls. He is very passionate about what he does. I could never eat those bugs though. In one I watched last week he ate an eyeball. Hearing it pop made me want to throw up.

Yeah that's pretty gross, I saw him eat a camels testicles because a nomad tribesman told him it was an honour, I really think the tribesman was having him on, he threw up afterwards. I haven't really seen him do that much.
