I go to a military college (where females aren't required to particpate in RoTC) and it's always odd to see cadets in full uniform carrying even a laptop case like the one above, which they do. Just to put that in.

I think it's weird for a guy to carry a bag around everywhere. I don't even do that. I guess I could say it depends on the bag...maybe.

But I like cros :p Obviously fashion ain't my thing.

You all are so funny w/ this thread.... someone asked what a metrosexual was earlier and Luther was pretty close but I think it refers to just the looks, not nec. acting like they're gay... it's just that most people think that if a guy dresses nicely or has strong fashion sense (like what's his name in Scooby Doo with the accessories), they must be gay.

That's one of the double standards - when a woman dresses down/ casual, her gender preference isn't presumed. Or even when she wears guys stuff, like I wear camouflage shorts sometimes, I don't think people think similar things about what they would think if a guy wore hot pink shorts for example. I love it!

Yeah, and then some guys let their wallet get as big as big and bulky like a baseball!!! ^_^ ^_^
And they think we don't know that they have like 20 one dollar bills in there or better yet, 20 one dollar bills with a 50 wrapped around.

LOL!!

It's really funny to me when I see these couples walking down the street or around a mall, and the man and the woman are both carrying purposes.

Carrying "purposes?" That's obviously a freudian slip. Coach must secretly want to carry a murse, and he's just testing out the idea here before going through with it. Whether he knows it or not.

Anything is better than an overstuffed "George Costanza" wallet.

Trouser pockets just don't cut it. Way too flimsy to carry anything really important.

Yeah, but we all know Fred is gay, trying to put on a front. What kind of straight male wears a scarf thing around his neck all the time?

But then he has the hots for Daphne, doesn't he? Or is that a front too? It's not like Jeff and Akbar....

No, that's why Daphne hangs around these creeps. She knows that Fred will be no threat to her, but she doesn't mind playing along with the front because it's sort of a protection against unfamiliar creeps. And Shaggy is just too weird to even think of in that way.

Aahhh! Kinda like a girl who hangs out with mostly gay guys? But then wouldn't the show have other Fred-types?... Hahaha! Funny... but what do guys think of the Daphne types???

Just look at the word "metrosexual." It is trying to apply homosexual flair and "style" to a heterosexual male. I have a real issue with that, and that embracing of that lifestyle bothers me. It is basicly saying that being manly and masculine is inferior. Guys that embrace that style dive me insane and make me vomit a little in my mouth.

... And I'm not sure they're all that impressed with you either.

Its just clothes. Why does it matter so much what other men or women wear? So, you don't like manbags - no-one's forcing you wear to them. But to paint heterosexuals who choose to carry a murse as effeminante is just... cruel.

Quirk> This is coach's Quirk if you will. He's really into the tradiotional man things and being a traditional man.

Things that shy away from that, he's pretty uncomfortable with. Being metrosexual is kind of like his arch enemy.

Although I have to say that I'm fairly uncomfortable about this one too actually. I don't make a huge deal about it, but it does seem kind of messed up to me to carry a murse. But then again I really don't see them all that often.

That explains that.
