Atheist say that the first ideas of God came from people that were just trying to come up with a idea to explain the world around them..weather,death,etc... From the monotheism Gods from 4000 years ago to the polytheism Gods before that..Man came up with it from his imagination to explain his world and thats where the idea of God first came form. What is your take on this?

the atheists will never ask why man has a need to answer these questions, theyll just say there is the need. why is man afraid of whats out there if theres nothing out there and therefore he has no knowledge of anything being out there for him to be afraid of?

I say it makes complete sense and is something humans have a habit of doing (making stuff up to make sense of things).

I disagree...but I can't really argue with it...since they can't prove it and i can't disprove it. I could tell them how Christ affects my life though...

This is what the Bible calls christians that are double minded. Atheists are very outspoken, with "the talk to the hand attitude." They don't want to know the truth, so they therefore run over christian, while playing devils advocate.

This is apparent in many christians also. They believe in God and even worship Him, but when it comes to total trust, and submission, they balk in many areas, and stand in unrealized unbelief. This keeps them from the supernatural power of God, and they tend to stay stuck in circumstances they can't get through. God can't operate in lives where unbelif in present. So in atheists where unbelief is rampant, God cannot operate unless there is a change of heart in the unbelieving person.

uh, actually I'm just saying it's dumb to waste my time trying to prove the supernatural with science and argue in theories that offer no solid evidence. Instead I stick to what I know, and that is that God is in my heart and working through me.

I trust him and I'll dang sure present scientific proof if God shows me where I can find it, but until then why run circles like a dog and his tail, which only distracts from the true message...and that is Christs love.

Lemme chuck this one out atcha...anyone who is obsessed with proving god's existence and wrapped up in legalities, science and all that may be wavering in their faith...where as one who says they don't need evidence, believes such as a child does.

I'd be careful to judge a person's mind. IMHO.
