[Matthew 11:29]
"Take my yoke upon you and learn of me."
We are invited to discipleship, to enroll in his school of obedience. The life of faith has a beginning but no end. Everyday we are confronted with a new discovery and challenge. . As we apply what we have learned to our hearts, we have the joy of being conformed to his image. No one can follow Jesus without becoming involved in what he is doing.
Jesus said," Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." [ Matt. 4:19]
Disciples are to go into the world as his representatives on a mission like his own, witnessing to the gospel of salvation. Every believer is needed in this work and it makes no difference whether you are clergy or a lay person. In the sight of the Lord, every disciple is a ministering servant.
All members of the body of Christ are called to minister through their own endowments and vocations. Making disciples comes through day by day personal relationships.Use the opportunities God gives you each day with the people in your sphere of influence. Reach out and grasp the thrill of fulfilling the great commission when it is within reach of your daily experence.
