  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had put making games on the backburner, although I had not given up on it.
One reason is, I wasn't finding the right tools that met my desires, and also, I wanted to make life easier for myself, by making a program that builds a model in a matter of second, or just a few minutes, because to me, making assets is the most time consuming part of game making.

Recently though, someone helped me make up my mind on a game engine that could work for me, and I made up my mind to get back to game making.

I still have the assets I made for a couple games I had planned, so I will retrieve those, but now, with AI, I found a tool online that does what I want... generate a model withing a few seconds, to a minute, and optionally can rig it as well. It can retopologize the model, also.
The models I have generated so far, looks great, and all I had to do was tell the AI what I wanted.

Is there anyone here, who might have held back from making games, because of not having the skills to make artwork, or models?
Would you be interested in game making, if you could get all your models made for you, for free?

A Reformation-era game would be fun, given the right, historical sources. I’m an FPS guy, so I refuse to be involved in anything else.

Edit: but that’s a large scale project, as it was, a world war. Sack of Constantinople would be another great theme on a smaller scale.

So, are you interested in making a game, then?
If you would like to try out generating your models, you can use this link. It gives you 300 credits for free.
If you have models made already, you can retopologize them for 10 credits, and rig them for 20 credits.
I would like to hear what you think of it, so be sure to give me some feedback.
Have you started making any games before?

I don’t have time for that. But I think a historically accurate, FPS game would be fun.

First Person Shooters. are a lot of fun to the world, and it's no surprise why that is the case, since Satan and his demons who's spirit permeated this dark world, loves violence.
From early on in history, until now, Satan and his demons have found delight in promoting violence, either in real life, or media, including more recently, virtual reality.

The Bible states that the earth is filled with violence through them [the Nephilim]. Genesis 6:13

Even while the boy was approaching, the demon rhégnumi [body] slammed him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father. Luke 9:42

The demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the whole herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water. Matthew 8:32

They evidently get pleasure from these things, and people imitate their spirit by delighting in watching someone get their head split open with an axe, or shot to pieces.
They have made it possible for people to do the actual killing in video games. No longer does one have to passively sit and watch. They can be fully involved in the bloodbaths.

First-person shooter (FPS) games have long been recognized for their intense and graphic violence, often pushing the boundaries of what is considered acceptable in video game content. The genre's appeal lies in its immersive combat mechanics and visceral depictions of destruction, with several titles standing out for their extreme levels of gore and brutality. The Doom series, beginning with the 1993 release of Doom, established the foundation for violent FPS gameplay, featuring players as a lone warrior battling demonic hordes with relentless firepower. The 2016 reboot revitalized the franchise, opening the "bloodgates" and allowing for increasingly graphic dismemberment and explosive kills, a trend continued in Doom Eternal (2020) and the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages. Similarly, the Wolfenstein series, particularly the 2014 reboot and its sequels developed by MachineGames, introduced a new era of Nazi-fighting violence with a focus on brutal, cinematic executions and morally ambiguous combat. Other notable entries include Bulletstorm, which incentivizes creative and violent kills through a scoring system, and Shadow Warrior 2, known for its over-the-top gore and humorous tone. Games like Deathloop and Aliens vs. Predator also contribute to the genre's violent reputation, offering unique mechanics that emphasize strategic carnage and visceral execution. The list of most violent FPS games continues to evolve, with newer titles pushing the envelope in both visual fidelity and narrative-driven violence.

So, you won't find me making any FPS game, nor playing them.
While Satan will love us for doing so, God hates us if we do. Psalm 11:5
I'm more into puzzle games, adventure, explore, survive, and learn, and other non violent games. There are many options available for the creative mind.
