I was wondering if anyone from these forums have heard or been to MLG. MLG is Halo 2 and SSBM tournaments that are around the country for thousands of dollars. The top 4 teams all got signed to 1 million dollar contracts. I play in he halo 2 part. My team is currently ranked 23rd at MLGs. I have been to 4 of them.I think this season they may add Gears of War to their lineup. You could search more on goolge about MLG.

If you play halo 2 you can leave your gamertag here it would be cool to get some games in with you.

I like the MLG tournaments, but I think they kinda suck on Microsoft's commercial sippie cup. I mean there are games that are MUCH more condusive to team play or competition.

HALO is a simplistic shooter with no real element of strategy and which doesnt really conduct itself to serious team play. Plus HALO gets a little dull to watch, even if you are watching the best players in the country.

Seems like more of a marketing ploy for Microsoft and HALO than a real serious attempt at making a legitimate gaming competition.

I was happy when they picked up Tekken. Now I think it's time for Street Fighter 4 to get picked up, especially when you realize that 1700 players played in the World Championships last weekend and over 27000 people tuned in to Ustream.tv to watch the finals.
