Majesty

I have been doing a study on the character of God.
What are your thoughts on His majesty?

It's been a very interesting study, I would love to hear some thoughts on this particular characteristic.

I just thought about the crucifixion when you said this....how it was supposedly a defeat when in fact a victory. For example:
a)Pilate says he has the power to save Christ's life/Christ tells him he has no power
b)Pilate says, "Behold the man" mockingly/It's more like "Behold! THE Man of God"
c)Jesus is beaten and mocked/His sacrafice frees us all

It's like the upside down kingdom of Christ. Like if you were to study the Beatitudes, it would seems wierd (The meek will inherit the earth and so on)--but really it all comes together beautifully

On the one hand,

For He grew up like a tender plant before Him and like a root out of dry ground.
He has no attracting form nor majesty that we should look upon Him
Nor beautiful appearance that we should desire him. Isaiah 53:2

On the other hand

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
II Peter 1:16 KJV
